Reality TV...we might be featured.

Reality TV.
Shows that are show bizarre/wretched/weird that you can't stop watching.
You watch them.
Because...
it makes you feel normal.

Several months ago I was whining.
Whining about being an empty nester.

"Where did the years go?"
"How did I get so darn old?"
"WaaaWaaaWaaaa"

My youngest son moved home in November.
Waiting to go to Afghanistan....
or get married or go to a different University.
(All a potential war zone....
OK I couldn't pass that one up.
I totally love the girlfriend.)

This past week,
the baby girl moved home.
She decided she didn't want to continue with her education path.
She's going a different direction.

I'm really OK with all of that.

I had to give up my craft room and my guest room with these last two additions.

It's OK.
The house is all put back together now.

However....

In addition to having Candice back home....
she brings another CAT!

That's why I am pretty sure I'm going to be on a Reality TV show.

That's 4 cats if you are counting.
I've paid for everyone of those creatures to have their "tonsils" out.

Four! What a sweet cat momma you are. Once you pay for them to "get their tonsils out" (love that by the way), they are yours for life. :)

I've already got you tuned in..Can't wait for the next episode!

"tonsils" eh? :) You're so loving! But I do feel bad for you. Now your toilet paper loving cat has somebody to be mischevious with!

Yup. You guys could definitely be a reality tv kinda family. I'd watch your show though. :)

Hah! That'w awesome. I'm sure a little bit of a change of pace for you, but still awesome! Although with 4 cats... I will pray for your toilet paper and paper towel rolls. ;)

Just let me know what time it will air and I'll be there.

You've now officially become the cat lady. At least no tonsils. You are a nice Momma to let them come home.

Wow you have had some big changes in your life in the last few months. How funny about the TV show. I was getting so excited thinking of you on TV. hahaha
I don't usually watch but I would have of course tuned you in.
Good luck with all the cats. If I lived close I could help you out and really make Tinkerbell mad. lol
Thanks sweetie for the words of comfort.
Love
Maggie

They always find a way to come back home. We still have our daughter & son-in-law here using our two guest rooms. I've gotten so use to it that is seems like they have always lived with us.
Four cats! Do they all get along?

I am so sorry.

Oh, Happy, Day!
But the 4 cat thing would drive me crazy! The one 29 pound, 10 year old cat I have drives me crazy!!! The 3, one year old doggies aren't much better!
Good luck with that and remember to keep the bathroom door shut!!

And BTW, find that motel :D

Oh no. Hopefully this one isn't a paper shredder.

You know I just might watch one of those shows if you were on it! LOL

The Boomerang generation: they just keep coming back. No need to whine about being an empty nester! It doesn't last for long! I found that out! Good luck with the cats and the paper towels!

Love ya!

So like, Hoarders? And you're right~I do feel better about my life after watching reality TV. Here I thought I was the only one. If you're collecting cats in order to be famous, I have one I'm not using right now. What's your address again?

Sandra said...

Yeah, maybe you'd qualify for Strange Addictions. Ok, I'm not quite sure what the addiction would be but surely having kids and cats move in counts towards something. No matter what, let me know the channel and time you'll be featured, I'll tune in weekly!

I'll be checking the TV guide for "4 cats and counting"...

yikes! you know that I am currently counting down the days 'til my kids start moving out (3.25 years). This post is not helping that remain such a sweet sweet thought :)

I say they should attach cameras to the cats...the reality show could be the world from a cat's perspective!

I'll set my tivo and WATCH FOR SURE.

BTW, enjoy having them all home--even the cats; )

yikes...........love the kids, yessirree,
but what ya got to do is downsize...see with my 950 sq foot house there is hardly room for hubby.
I require a lot of space.

that is one reality show I'd be glued to...can I be featured with you on one episode. Kinda like when the sluty, redneck friend comes for a visit.

I've got 4 cats a dog and 4 kids at home--trump that--

They've upped my med's and everything is just rainbows and unicorns here baby.

And I'm a little cat stupid. Just what are cat "tonsils" and why do they need their own quote marks"??

We're damned if we do and damned if we don't, simple as that!
Just as soon as we adjust to your empty nest, back come the fledglings.
I am now going to my sewing room to pad the walls. It with from this day forward be known as The Looney Bin :)

P.S. Want 2 dogs?
