On Wednesday my sweet hubby took the day off work and drove me to Utah.
I got to meet Gigi.
We've been blog best-friend-twin-sisters for over two years.
Gigi's sister died on New Years Eve of complications of a heart cath.
Her sister had lived her life with multiple health challenges, including being deaf.
When I knew that Gigi would be flying to Utah all the way from Georgia, I wanted to be able to meet her.
She's as beautiful as I thought she would be.
We didn't get to visit much, but it was a treat and an honor to be there.
To meet Gigi and to be able to learn about her sister Clair.
The funeral service was incredible.
It was a Deaf Ward and everyone there was signing.
Wonderful tributes to her life and someone who overcame many great challenges.
Another huge treat was seeing Connie at the funeral and sitting by her. I met her in May at the CBC.
She is the sweetest person ever!
And tall.
And beautiful.
It was so fun to visit with her.
(Gigi is the beautiful bombshell in the middle and Connie in the tall, beautiful bombshell on the right)
And another surprise was having my cousin, Lea, walk by at the funeral. She was a coworker of Clair. I haven't seen Lea for over 10 years!
The world is a small place!
It was also great to have my Howie's undivided attention for the 4 hour drive there and 4 hour drive home.
He'll be leaving on Sunday for 4 weeks of travel.
He'll be in Florida for a week and then Canada for three weeks.
I'm ok about the trip to Canada.
But Florida???? I'm a little bitter.
Gigi travels home today.
I hope the flights were good.
I hope you warm back up!

Next time your in town, let me know! Maybe we can meet up. And judge people.
what a treat for the both of you. that would have been a great funeral to go to. i work with special needs kids in mutual and they are amazing. they are such good signers as well as speaking. i have trouble just speaking. hope you had a safe trip home!
That was so sweet of you to go to Utah to see Gigi and attend her sisters service. ((HUGS))
I always wonder if I'm weird for feeling such a kinship with bloggers that I've never met. I'm taking this blog as proof that it's not weird. :)
I am so jealous. I would love to meet Gigi!
So awesome of you and Connie to go support Gigi. I just love hearing about all the amazing women that are out there through blogging!
Sorry you had a funeral to attend, but I'm glad you got to spend the time with great ladies. :)
And, Florida- I'd be bitter too!
I was wondering if you would go to Utah to meet Gigi - I was pretty sure the answer was YES and I am so glad you did! (and a little jealous too).
You all look wonderful in the picture - 3 hot chicks!
Tauna, it was fun sharing a pew with you and your good husband. Glad you got home safely. It's a good thing you were able to spend 8 hours in the car together since he'll be gone so much of the time! Sure he'll hate Florida! :-)
Wasn't it awesome to meet Gigi! She is just as fantastic in person as she is in blog land!
Take care and enjoy your 1 degree weather! Now THAT is bitter!
Sounds like such a wonderful trip! I was looking at some of the older postings and i really did have a good laugh at the riot which the sweet looking cat did .. ;D
Smiles,

luckeeeeeee you! connie AND gigi in the same visit!!!!! seriously, only way it could've been better is if gigi's sister had passed away and if i could've been there! :) you ain't kidding, that connie IS tall!!!!!! when i get to meet her someday, i'll take a step ladder with me so i can still hug her, and that way she doesn't feel like she's got a toddler wrapped around her knees, lol. :D and ALL THREE OF YOU LADIES are so gorgeous! complete knock-outs!
oy! to 4 weeks. ::thumbs down::
i'm super sad i'm not there this weekend. :( but probably good so howie can have YOUR undivided attention all saturday. ::wink, wink:: just sayin'. 4 weeks is a LONG time.

::oodles of hugs::
I've only met one blogging buddy and it was kinda weird at first but then it was great. Glad you got to see people you love. And Florida--eh. You can head to AZ--Same temp and a closer drive (only 16 or so hours from your neck of the winter!).
I can't find your Followers' widget. Or it could be that I am a really slow internet connection!
I am definitely looking fwd to reading more!

I think all 3 of you are amazing women.. and how fun to meet up!
Why in the world are you not getting in the suitcase to Florida? I WOULD!!!
How wonderful that you were able to be with these ladies. I have known Gigi thru blogging for a couple of years now but we have never met in person. She is such a sweet person and I am thankful that you could be there with her at this difficult time. Glad you had some time with hubby too. GA is expecting sleet/snow tonght and tomorrow - FL sounds pretty good to me too!
That is so wonderful you were able to meet Gigi! You are so sweet to come all that way to support her. I love blogging! That is awesome you got to see Connie again. I agree Connie is really sweet!
I love you! And now I just love that handsome husband of your's too! What a Silver Fox, with the warmest smile, you are one lucky woman. I know you will miss him while he is gone for so long, and in the winter? How will you ever stay warm?
Okay, now that is funny, I have never, ever, ever been called a beautiful bombshell!!! That had me cracking up, again, I just love you! I though that was a great picture of the 3 of us and to think it was taken with a camera phone, go figure?
We were so amazed that you saw your cousin there????? And our dear Connie! How perfect. It is a small world. There were many other such things, I called little miracles.
Our visit was to short and just made me want to see you again soon and spend a lot more time with you. I guess that will be one of my goals this year, is to figure out how to make that happen. We might just have to meet in the middle for a little girls photography weekend!! Whatcha think?
Thank you for coming so far and for bringing me such joy, You are the Best!
Oh, and BTW, your hair is just straight up Sassy!!!
My BFF is a blog friend. WE just get each other, completely.
We've only met a couple of times, but it really doesn't matter...
We still adore each other. :)
So awesome that you got to go be with Gigi. I can tell you guys have a special bond. I would love to meet all three of you. You're amazing ladies!
That really stinks about your hubby. Four weeks!?
I'm sure it meant so much to Gigi to have you there. You are such a sweet person. (And I agree about Connie--she is absolutely beautiful and such a sweetheart)
I can understand being a little bitter about Florida.
