I MIGHT BE IN LOVE

I just purchased a pressure cooker.
I have some friends at work that have been raving about theirs.
Cooks a roast in 25 minutes.
Artichokes in 6 minutes.
Rice in 6 minutes.

(I'm all about lazy!)
If dinner is tasty tonight I'm gonna be in love.

Tomorrow is the last day of January.

Amen!

Update:
Roast done in 30 minutes, I let it vent then I added carrots and potatoes for 5 minutes.
Delicious!
Life as I know it will NEVER be the same!
(And YES those are Rhodes rolls and YES that is butter melting on the potatoes! Told ya I was lazy!

Looks like a nice one and with your working as you do, it will be so nice to come home and have dinner ready so fast! And yes, where is time going to fast?!! :D

Good for you! You will love it!

i bought this same cooker and have yet to use it. Let me know what you try and how it turns out. If you ever work Saturdays, keep your eyes peeled for Heidi on rotations! She may just wander down into your neck of the woods!

I gave mine away, but they are fabulous. You'll enjoy the time saving cooker. Got a kick out of your previous post.
Have a great week.

Invite me over for dinner, and I'll tell you if it is tasty or not. (wish)
I like fast and lazy too. But don't have a pressure cooker.
Back in the Day....when I was domestic and stuff....I had a BIG pressure cooker for my canning.

But now I am more of a diva (tee, hee)

I don't know why, but I'm afraid of those!

I guess I remember what they were like when I was a little girl and THEY SCARE ME.

Well I need one because I have zero time and I'm not enjoying cooking very much anymore. something needs to change around here! What brand did you buy?

Sounds wonderful. I had one back in the day that I used but it was pretty scary. Always thought the lid would fly off!

Yes, my pressue cooker in the old days wasn't cute and shiny and fancy like yours. I'd probably kill something for those rolls though. I do love hot bread. I so would love to be your guest for dinner. Ahhh! Heck no, you're not lazy! You are efficient with your effort.

Oh! I want one or better yet will you fix me a plate and doggie bag sweet Tauna...that looks scrumptious. I live in Arkansas and it has been warmer than usual here this year. Maybe you will see some signs of spring soon. Thank you for the nice comments on my bird pictures. Hugs

I tried the "7-Up biscuits" on Pinterest... about 15 minutes from start to finish and SUPER yummy. Okay, not good for you. But SUPER yummy.... and you could have them finished with the rest of your dinner. :)

Oh my heck; I want one of those. Thirty minutes and then freedom! Did your family think that it tastes as good?

Bye.

That looks mighty delicious!!

I don't have a pressure cooker, but my mom did. I remember it blowing it's top a time or two. That's probably why I don't have one. :P

I want your pressure cooker. I have one and it doesn't look that cool. Plus if you can cook a roast that looks that amazing in that short of time . . . I guess it's time to update.

show us what else it can do. I don't have time to cook either and maybe this would help me be that wonderful supermom my kids once had.

Have a great day
love you

Roast in 30 minutes?! No way.

Oh, yummy! That looks SO good! I might have to donate my old pressure cooker to someone and get me one that is digital like that! I think I want one... B.A.D.!!!!

Although... knowing me, I probably still wouldn't use it! You don't need a pressure cooker to make Ramen noodles or fried eggs and toast! haha... that seems to be all my family gets from me these days!

You sold me on 6 minute Artichokes.

What's wrong with Rhodes rolls?

I think they are Yummy!!!!!!!

I have one of those pressure cookers but I can't quite get the hang of it. Maybe you better come show me how to do it.

Rhodes? Well I am so lazy that we have store bought sliced bread. I'm too lazy to buy bakery rolls.

I'm in love with the same thing :)

We got our electric pressure cooker as an early Christmas gift to ourselves in December.
We've sung it's praises to everyone we know....and now they are all getting one too.

A trend that is one huge and delicious time saver.

Have you tried to make teriyaki chicken yet.... numm... to die for!

HOLY SHIZ, NO WAY! Where did you get that? I need it! So no more six hours? And you can actually looked like you planned ahead and did hours of prep and everything? Seriously awesome!

Connie said...

That's not lazy! That's ingenious ! Looks scrumptious .

Looks wonderful! I'm a big fan of Rhodes Rolls! Thanks for sharing!
I'm trying to figure out what to cook for dinner!

Way to buck the system and make all of those apron-wearing Becky Homecky types (that spend all day in the kitchen) look like suckers!!

tammy said...

So was the roast as tender as if you'd cooked it in the crock pot all day? This just may change my life if it was.

Vern said...

But Rhodes makes lazy taste oh so good.

I have an old canning one but I need the new, handy dandy kind. Your post has sold me!

Pressure cookers scare me. Can't they explode if you don't do something right?

Your dinner looks fabulous!

I have heard about pressure cookers for cooking things fast...I think that you can cook dried beans in like 10 minutes or less as well.

WOW, your dinner you made looks absolutely AMAZING and delicious! Makes we want to jump through the screen and enjoy a roll with the roast and veggies.

You always AMAZE me with all of your talent! I hope you are having a GREAT weekend!!

I've never used one, but it looks much more high tech than the old ones I remember seeing. Sounds like an awesome time saver.

I did some rice in a stove top pressure cooker, but by the time the pressure comes down it was not faster. Sigh. I'd like to know more about your cooker. Time for research.
