Can you Imagine?????

My friend Nita lives an exciting life. I would link you to her page, but she is a blogging flunkie. She doesn't blog. She says she doesn't have time. If I lived her life I wouldn't have time either.

A week ago she flew from our little town in Idaho to Alaska........on a helicopter. Can you imagine?

They left on Sunday morning and got to Alaska Monday afternoon. Just like that. Flew to Alaska on a helicopter! Are ya hearing me here??? They went with a person who flies helicopters all the time and is a guide in Alaska. Can you imagine? This guide person had to go and deliver a helicopter to someone in Alaska and asked Nita and her hubby if they would like to fly along. Can you imagine?

She took my camera at my insistence because I wanted her to take great pictures. She didn't know how to get the pictures off my camera. I was OK with that because I got to look at them. AND since I don't have an exciting life and I do have time to blog I am going to post some of them.

They flew over glaciers and water. Nita said that there were lakes EVERYWHERE! It was green and lush and beautiful. They even landed on a glacier! Keep in mind they were with a tour guide. Does it get any better than that? Can you imagine?

Nita's hubby called my hubby last Saturday night and said "hey you got a passport? Do ya wanna fly to Alaska and come back on a helicopter? The guide needs to bring it back and would love a few passengers" Can you imagine? Unfortunately my hubby was unable to go because he had a business trip to Texas he couldn't get out of, but he racked his brain trying to figure out how to call in sick for the business trip.

Someday I would like to go to Scotland just because that's where my peeps come from BUT my new dream is to go to Alaska on a helicopter. Can you imagine?

I can only imagine because I don't think I'll EVER be able to do something like that! Wow! Gorgeous pictures. Glad you took it upon yourself to be her "blogger" for the trip!

I'd like to go to Denmark... (that's where my peeps are from)...but not in a helicopter...or do I?

Those pics were fantastic. I wouldn't blog either if I had a life.

I want to go to Scotland too and then I see Connie wants to go to Denmark and I need to hit that area also. Maybe we have the same peeps somewhere along the line.

Glad you posted the pictures. They are amazing. We need to get my mom blogging again. Any ideas?

Tauna~ Go to Mormon Mommy Blogs and if you back to Father's Day there is a post entitled "That's What Fathers Do" It is written by our bishop (Braden Bell) and he is an amazing writer. Such a small world.

I will go to Scotland with you--what do you think?

NO, I CAN'T IMAGINE! I don't think that anyone would ever call me to do something that exciting. I'd go if they called! But they won't call. You are so sweet to loan your camera. But now you've got their pictures. Trade it back to them for a trip.

What do you mean that you don't live an exciting life??? I think that the ER would be the most exciting place in all of Rexburg :)

Have a joyful day! Blessings...

Hey, baby! I've seen your laments about missing the bloggers' lunches and stuff (over at my place) and I wanted to let you know I'm bringing my daughter up to BYUI September 7. And how fun would it be to meet for lunch or dinner or something that week? I don't expect to leave town until Thursday.

Let me know what you think!

(OK, now I'm having a midlife dementia moment: You are my bloggy friend who lives up there, right?)

OH, and I loved the pix on this post. My first choice of places to live is Anchorage, Alaska. So naturally, we live in Las Vegas.

Sigh.
