Almost gone!!!

The ugly snow persists here...and it's difficult for me. I hate ugly snow. It's ugly.
Unfortunately, ugly snow stays in my yard for a long time. My neighbors are mowing and raking and I'm still shoveling snow off my lawn onto the street. (OK maybe they aren't really mowing, but it feels like it) I have a huge pine tree in my front yard that shades the snow and keeps it from melting under the global warming of the sun.
At least now it's only this:

Instead of the mountain that my kids and grandchildren used as a sledding hill this Christmas....seriously they did....really.

We had soooo much snow this year. Snow is good, it provides our valley with water, snow is good, this snow was pretty:

The snow that currently remains on my lawn is NOT pretty. It needs to go away. I threatened my neighbor (the one who is almost mowing his lawn) that I was going to shovel snow from my yard into his....but I'm not bitter or anything.
Anyway, as soon as this last bit of snow melts......I'm going to celebrate by having a give-away!!!! Something for me to look forward to. As I am typing this entry my neighbor across the street is raking her lawn....what a brat! I hate when neighbors aren't neighborly....but I'm not bitter or anything.

you should tell that neighbor across the street (you have a retired one now) to come over and shovel the snow into your neighbor's yard or better yet into the street. I remember always watching your lawn and wondering when that last bit of snow would melt. It seemed to take forever...

You can do this, ready, breathe in, breathe out! Breathe in, breathe out.

In the darkness of night move the snow ever so closer to the neighbors lawn.

Happy Easter!

This to shall come to pass and remember thou shalt not covet that thy neighbor is raking green grass and yours is a shovel and dirty white.

Have a Happy Easter.

I am right with you on that. I only like "fresh, first day, virgin snow" Any other snow is a pain in the you know what. And, I am shocked at the insensitivity of your neighbors, raking and mowing --WHEN YOU HAVE SNOW, out there shoveling in your snow suit and all. You should have thrown snowballs at them.
and for your giveway ------your not going to give us your snow are ya!! DONT. DO. IT.
