Please tell me this did NOT just happen.....

Time: 11:00 pm
Date: Last night
Place: High School parking lot
Person involved: My soon-to-be graduating daughter

She arrived home late after attending a Choir Festival in Blackfoot, Idaho. She says she was anxious to get home. She hurried and threw all of her stuff in the truck,

backpack, violin, extra clothes, music....you know, a whole plethora of stuff...I can envision this process in my head, I've watched her rush from one thing to another. She says that she didn't notice that a certain thing had fallen out of the truck, until she ran over it.............

Of course, we are so grateful that it was a THING, but upcoming events...Thursday and Friday she travels to Provo for a Music Festival, orchestra and Bel Cantos and on the 4th she'll be doing her Senior Recital.

I hope you have a better day AngelBaby! I love you.

So sorry! Violins aren't cheap and to get a new one right before these big events is devastating. Having played the flute for years, I know what it is like to know your instrument and then have to change it.

That brings to my mind a memory I had happen years ago with my flute and a ditch. Maybe that will be my next post.

Good luck with everything, my heart goes out. Guess what? We both have graduating Seniors for the Class of 2009. One more thing we have in common, yet I think she is your baby and he is my first.

Chat later.

When Rachel was in her late teens she went to Europe. She came home and developed her hundreds of pictures and had all her souveniers ready to drive up to Rexburg from SLC. She set it all on top of her car and forgot. Yep she drove away and never found the stuff except my picture. I framed it all full of gravel and wrote the story on the back. I still have heartache over that for her.

Ouch! Hope she finds a replacement soon!

You asked about the canned butter. The consistency is a little harder than spreadable margarine. It tastes like butter only a little more salty because water is boiled off during the 5 minute boiling before putting in jars.

OH, bless her heart -- that is a bummer for sure. Neatest picture ever of her with her violin though --very creative.

Oy-vAY! (Should I be ashamed that I find sweet comfort in the fact that others do stupid things too???)

We actually have a violin that she can borrow. Sure, it's kid-sized and missing a string -- but I've heard her play and -- let's face it -- she could make anything rock!

How is your sleeplessness???

That is so sad. I hope it all works out for her and all involved.

Things are things your right.

oh my....that is not good...my violin is insured...was yours? I hope so? I would not be happy if mine got squished...it was hand-made and the person who made it has passed on now...so it can not be re-created the same....note to self...do not drive over my violin!

hope she is ok and finding a new one!
