I work at a hospital. I'm a drug pusher. I believe in drugs. Better living through chemistry....that's my motto!!! I also am a drug user...I know, shame on me.
Today I found out the MY drug, the drug that was invented for ME,the only drug I use, that keeps ME sane and helps ME function...Imitrex! It is now generic! Instead of paying $100.00 per month for 18 tablets (and that is with insurance!) I now will pay only $4.00 per month!!!! I am sooooo excited! This is huge! Now I don't have to feel guilty that I'm taking food out of my baby's mouth in order to have relief from a migraine! Wow, this is such good news!

That is a huge savings!
I was so happy when my schizophrenia drugs went genaric.
WOW -- how expensive is that. Maybe a lobotomy would get rid of migraines---just thinking out loud.
do the people on the streets know about you?
We have a name for people like you at our hospital--drug seeker (just kidding). Glad to hear your suffering is now less expensive.
I So love it when great drugs go Generic!!!!! It really does count and really make my day. No wonder you are so happy, you have every right to be!
Party On!

Super!!!! Now if they would just start making generic botox, life would be all good. . .
I too am a migraine sufferer, but luckily I only get them once a month or so and ibuprofin does the trick for me. They are miserable!
I am right there with you tauna! The day I found out it was going generic I wanted to hug the drug rep. The down side, no more samples. But for $4 a month, I think I can survive!!
Thanks for commenting on my humble blog!
So glad you are getting relief!
I used to get awful migraines about once a month. I tried a lot of things to get rid of them and the only thing that worked was food combining.
I am glad you can have your migraines for less!! hee hee
Seriously, medications can be so expensive that is great news!
Have a Happy Easter!!
Tauna- I've got a quick medical question for you- We're in Texas right now and my ankles and feet have gotten decently swollen- I know this is relatively normal, but are there any warning signs I should watch for in case it gets bad? Also, do you know any tricks for minimizing it? Thanks!! Hilary
Gosh that's a huge difference. I had no idea. . .
First time reader and I love your blog!!
You work at a hospital? God bless you for that. That's something that I could never do though I so greatly admire those brave souls like you who are there and ready when needed.
I used to have migraines (a lil thing called the hys-to-rectomy helped mine tremendously) and I remember when Imitrex was first bring used. It helped me a great deal.
Thanks for all of your info. I will definately be back. Have a great and happy Easter and......
Steady On
