My last two posts may give a brief description of the nonsense of the weekend. Hurry to Utah to check out violins. Bring two of them home to try. But before we could get home the car decides to have a few hiccups. Leaving us stranded while my jack-of-all-trade hubby does repairs. Did enjoy a visit with my oldest son and family.
Got the daughter to Logan to the music festival she was participating in. Whew! We are feeling pretty good about being able to accomplish so much considering the circumstances.
Then we receive a midnight phone call from the daughter at the music festival..."uh, mom, I forgot my violin bow in the other violin case".......

I'm doing Lamaze breathing by now because I remember say to her (in my sweetest patient mommy voice) now dear do you have EVERYTHING? I wouldn't have been so irritated and having to resort to do Lamaze breathing if she hadn't just pulled a double-eye rollover on me when I asked! (I hate those)
Next day ANOTHER phone call..."mom, guess who left her orchestra dress at home?" (Home being Idaho while we're still stranded in Utah) Are ya kiddin' me???Seriously????

(More Lamaze breathing here... hee hee hee hoo) I'm past the point of tired and cranky and I want to be home, this was supposed to be a flying trip and back in the same day! Not sure what she did about the dress thing, I'm sure the orchestra and choir teachers thinks she's the biggest ditz! This is a normally well rounded, well organized, plans thought out type of girl. WHAT IS GOING ON????
I'm very afraid. She graduates in less than a month. She's going out into the big wide world.

Oh, and then she decides after playing the two violins that we brought home for her to try that she doesn't like the tone of either one. We also had two music professors play them. They didn't either. So BACK to Utah yesterday to return them both. BUT she did find a violin that she totally fell in love with from a little music store in our own little hometown. Go figure.
Hee hee hee hoo...hee hee hee hoo....I know that deliverance in nigh........
OK, enough dingdong pictures, she's a doll and I love her more than anything. She's giving me a personal concert on her "mom it's totally awesome" violin. What a doll!
