And there is a part of me that has an evil laugh when I hear of his latest escapades.

I especially LOVE that he's a thumb-sucker. I can't help myself.

I'll worry about it when he's in high school.

IN HONOR OF DON

I was at work early on Valentines morning when we received a phone call from the West Yellowstone EMS requesting to speak to our ER physician.
We are their medical control.
We were informed that Don had suffered a cardiac arrest while ice fishing at Hebgen Lake.

His wife was at work in the OR. She too is a nurse.
It fell upon us to inform her of the loss of her husband.

Today he was taken to the cemetery with full Honor Guard.
He rode on the back of the fire truck, that was draped in black.
Covered with a flag.

He was a paramedic/firefighter for 30 years, in addition to being a great ER nurse.
I'm sure Amazing Grace was written just for the Bagpipes.
It is beautiful.

He was our big brother
and this leaves a hole in our hearts.

Our adopted grandparents.

They have watched our family grow.
We came to help them do a few things around their house in Sun City.

They drive golf carts everywhere!!
Hilarious!
We enjoyed their spoiled rotten cat.

We have totally loved driving around in the HOT RED CAR with the top down.

Home tomorrow.
I hear snow is forecasted.
I think I would rather stay in my fake life.

Yesterday we lost one of our own.
And he was "one of a kind"
He was a Paramedic and an ER nurse.

He will be missed.

A mere 6 hours later....

Must have froze to death in the house.
I had a moment of silence.
(It must mean there is 6 more weeks of winter.)

(Some guy at the arcade saw my DIL holding the pole and said "this is gonna make the internet", he was right!)
