I KNOW IT'S AN EMERGENCY ROOM

It's there for a reason.

And there is some stuff that I feel more comfortable doing
than other stuff.

"run of the mill" stuff.

Stuff that you expect in an Emergency Room.
Stuff that we do frequently.

Birthin' a baby.
That's the other stuff.
Birthin' a baby in a car....
that is really way out there-what-the-heck-and-why-did-you-wait-so-long-and-park-right-in-the-main-entrance-and-I-haven't-run-that-fast-in-years-and-.... the ER doc clamped the cord of the already delivered baby and did the hand off to me. I made the little guy cry...love crying babies...and got him out of our November cold.
It wasn't really just another normal day of stuff in the ER.

Just sayin'.

Way to go! My daughter's first baby was such a difficult birth, long and hard. The second one came 5 minutes after they got in the hospital doors! What would we do without you?! :D

That's a crazy day! Glad you were there to help! I could never be in the medical field. I can't even watch myself get a shot.

I so admire those angelic people like you in the medical field. Luckily, I haven't had to go to the ER ever. You are my hero. If I had to be sick, I'd be honored to have you running there beside me. You DO Rock!!

My mother had my younger brother in the hall of the hospital - just couldn't wait! And my oldest daughter had her daughter just as they threw open the doors of the delivery room. In my family they come faster than you can say Boo. :) blessings, marlene

Love it! My hubby worked in the emergency room when he was in College. I would visit him and be in awe and shocked at all the things that went on, and it was an ordinary day for him! Thank Heavens for good emergency room nurses! You rock!

My goodness honey never a dull moment in your life. I could just picture the whole thing. My second son was born so fast there were no pains or anything he just arrived. haha No doctor or emergency room nurse.
Just had to come by and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my friend. You are one of the reasons I am getting stronger each day and that Christi will come through this a stronger person.
I hope to be able to talk to you about it soon.
I love you sweet friend and you are my hero.
Love ya

So, why did they wait so long to get to the hospital??
Did you dare ask ??

I would have... but then again, no one's ever accused me of not being a wise-a**.

You should make them name the baby after you :)

Sounds like a very hectic yet fun day! I agree with you...why would someone wait so long? I wanted drugs at the 1st twinge of pain!

That picture made me laugh!

I thought I was going to be that woman with my last baby. I was sure he was coming in the car. Then we got to the hospital and everything slowed down. Babies...they really do want they want, don't they?

You SAVED that baby's life by getting him out of the Iceburg cold!! Will they name the baby after you?
Love your pictures. That is EXACTLY how I look and feel. Believe me, I know. My husband took a video of me finishing up the half marathon. What a joke! :)

Wow! It's like you just got handed off to in football and ran with the baby! Too cool!

Hope today was back to normal. Even though, it seems the crazy stuff like that would make your day more fun. :)

I guess I will just leave a comment in answer to your question (being as my computer won't let me access anyone's email from their profile page {stinkin' anti-virus{).
I bought a 2x2 from Home Depot, which is actually a 1.5"x1.5" and cut it down from that on my table saw. Are you going to make one too? Please post pictures if you do!
