Anticipating the Eclipse 2017

It's impossible to to turn on the news or read a newspaper without seeing or reading something about the Eclipse!
Our little corner of the world is in the path of Totality and wow, what a frenzy things have been around these parts for months and months.

I'm not going to lie, I'll be glad it's over.

As for the Emergency Room, all vacations have been cancelled, we are working extra and we are to plan on NOT being able to get home.

There is expected to be between 40,000-80,000 visitors converge upon the town of Rexburg for the weekend and day of the eclipse. Yikes.

I happen to be working the weekend. The eclipse is on Monday, set to occur at 11:32. To last about 3 minutes and 22 seconds.

We have all of our kids coming to be able to experience it.

This should prove to be fascinating.

Oh my gosh!! I'm not excited about it either! It makes me feel kind of guilty, because it's such a big deal, but it's going to be crazy! My SIL is the, Director of Pharmacy at EIRMC, believe me, he's dreading it! We are in, Shelley, so still in the totality range. I hope that all goes well, and that you can get home safely to all your family...so much to do over 3 min 22 sec. EEEEKKKKK!

I had no idea of the power of a total eclipse would have on a city. wow... I'll be thinking of you that there will not be any major incident that day. I know you'll be well prepared but I wish you could e with the family to watch the eclipse...
Hope members of your family can enjoy the phenomenon together.

Hugs, Julia

Our daughter Diana said Rexburg is in a panic over this--worrying about traffic, food, emergency services, etc for all the incoming visitors. I hadn't even considered that people would go out of their way for an eclipse. I'd go outside of my house, but drive for days or hours? Nah. I'll watch it on TV and skip the crazy.
Ya'll stay safe!!! I hope it's completely uneventful for your crew at Madison.

I hope all went well for you on the day of the eclipse sweet Tauna. I am sorry you had to work. It was no big deal to me since it was a partial eclipse here and I have seen one before. Hugs
