THINGS IGNORED

Between the birth of a new grandson
And the subsequent blessing...
And the baptism of another grandson...
Oh ya.
And a wedding.
....of my baby girl.
In addition to all of that going on in The Garden of Egan...

Cameron and Guen moved from Utah to Pocatello.
Nate and Sara moved from Menan to Twin Falls.
Matt and Tara built a new home and moved into it.
Lynsey and Nick are in the process of moving to Denver.
Candice and Tyler got married.

This has all occured since the 1st of June!

The summer has been full.
There have been many hard things.
But there have been great things as well.

Then there is this Garden of Egan
It's completely out of control.
This banana squash plant has grown over the fence...
and into my neighbors yard.
Embarassing.
They said they don't mind.
Hopefully they won't be forced to move out.

My kids are grown and out of the house.
It is such a strange sensation.
When did it happen?

In the blink of an eye.

So for now, I'll attend to things ignored.
The Garden of Egan in the backyard.

But I'll always attend and pray for and love
the Garden of Egan that I love most.

Yes your garden is very bounteous, both gardens seem to be flourishing quite well. Oh ya, there are lots of perks to being empty nesters, embrace it (and your hubby), a whole new chapter is just starting.

Bittersweet when the babies grow up and move out and then move away, isn't it. Life is change, there is no getting around it. So great to have an eternal perspective on things. I love your "overgrown" garden! Enjoy your week.

Your summer sounds like it could be compared to a roller coaster ride. Lots of changes happening in your family. Your pictures are just fantastic and what a gorgeous family you have. I would love to be the neighbor that your garden is growing to. :) What beautiful plants and what good eating the bounty will be. Hang in there sweet Tauna you will adjust to the empty nest and I bet you will enjoy it very much after you do. Hugs

Life certainly moves along at the speed of light.. doesn't it??!!
So many good things going on, and the things ignored don't really mind being ignored :)

Enjoy this week.

Smiles :)

You have had a jammed packed summer and so much has been going on and now you have the house to share between you and your husband, how sweet.

Your bounty is running over the fence and maybe the neighbours will have a few of your vine produce.
My gardens are all out of control too this year.

Now you will have time to take it a little easier perhaps. Hugs, JB

My gosh! And I thought my summer was crazy. I have nothing to complain about.
The wedding would have been enough to put me in a tail spin but that is everyone of your kids with major changes! How in the world?? That deserves a major rest in Florida! Like soon, soon as hurricane season is over. But then wait until there is 6 feet of snow out in your garden and then make your tickets.
You are a ROCK!
Loves!

WOW GIRL....that is a lot of stuff to have dealt with this past month.
EMOTIONAL things.
Highs and lows and everything in between I bet.
But look how you did it all...and shone in the process.
now......get to that garden before that squash ends up in MY yard (tee, hee)

You have been one busy lady! I think an ignored banana squash is forgivable! I love your family picture. The family garden is the best one to tend!
Andy and I became empty nesters the first of this month. If I ever get back to blogging, I may write about it! :)
Love ya!

Sounds like you may get to do a little traveling to see the kids.
You need a vacation, somewhere with sand, water, sun and someone to bring you ice cold lemonade on a tray!!! (or diet pepsi)
What a summer. . .

You are at the end of the emptying and I'm right at the start... {sigh}. I'm falling apart. But you are showing me that I WILL survive. It's going to be a bumpy few years. I hope I make it!

Your garden is beautiful by the way... both of them! :)

Wow, that is a lot of change. I'm not so good with change sometimes. You're going to have to talk me off the ledge when my boys move out.

Good grief! A lot has happened! And throw in your regularly CRAZY shifts at the ER and that makes for a tired, overly worked lady! I hope things have settled down to where you can relax...and enjoy a banana squash or two. :)

I am glad to see I am not the only one who has a super full summer keeping me from my friends.

Love the squash ...

What beautiful babies being welcomed into the life of Christ ... & gorgeous wedding with a beautiful new family starting.

Yes, in the BLINK of an eye ... :)

Have a beautiful holiday weekend ~

I think all of this 'stuff' happening is fun and yes --- it's over in the blink of an eye. I remember thinking how it would never get over with. It certainly does.

The fun never ends, right? Our families just keep growing and life gets busier and busier. I've had to apologize to my mom over and over. I thought she was just waiting to come help me or have me visit.
So I'm laughing about your out of control garden! Jen fractured her spine and I took care of their family of five for the last two weeks while my husband served our mission. My whole life is out of control. Let's meet in Twin for a pedicure and therapy. xoxo

Wow! I sure hope that you are sitting down and catching your breath! But don't sit too long, or that squash plant will swallow you up too!
Congratulations on surviving the best (and hottest) (and craziest)summer in the world!

Ok, your rockin-awesome family is a testament to the fact you are an amazing wife, mother & grandmother. NEVER doubt yourself. Ever.

I admire you for all your talents, but more importantly for all the prayer & tending talents you apply regularly to your living, breathing, squirmy Garden of Egan!

They are the best trophies in this life! ::hugs::
