The other day a lost parrot flew to my friend while she was out on her patio. She will give him to me if the owner doesn't answer her "lost bird" flyers by next week. Meanwhile, the parrot has made friends with her three cats! He even gives them kisses! INCONCEIVABLE!
Just catchin' up on your blog. I LOVE how involved you are (and supportive!) with your kids and grandkids. I also love that you take time to write about chickens and cats. They are important too. ;)
I don't blame that kitty for being chicken of the chicken! Chickens can be mean when they have something and don't want to share. My Dad had one last year that Colten was terrified of because he would chase him every time and try to peck him!
it's so nice to read your blog again. mine old blog has gone missing out there somewhere. so i have a new one bitsoflifeandcookiebits.blogspot.com come and visit me once again, i've missed everyone!
Poor kitty. How embarrassing to be scared of a chicken. I think that you do not have me listed anymore either for my Life is Good. You were my most faithful commenter. You have missed out on my whole Israel trip.
Ha-Ha...Why did the chicken cross the cat? Cause they are almost the same size! My gosh, that is one hefty hen wanting to gobble up the cat food. Keep up the good work...she'll be ready to butter up for Thanksgiving!

This reminds me of a song. "Old McEgan had a farm...
Cute picture and in defense of the cat some chickens can be mean, it's best to be cautious.

It's a good thing you were there to protect that kitty! :)
Oh that's hilarious! Poor kitty.
(did I really just say that?)
Lol! That is pretty funny. When I was a teen my friend brought over a puppy and my dog was totally afraid of it.
Hopefully the kitty didn't end up in the "Kitty ER" after that encounter!
What I love most about that picture is that the grass is green and the sun is shining! Hasn't the weather been WONDERFUL!?!
My dogs are a little freaked out by my bunnies.
