Another NORMAL Day in the 'Hood

Is having an ambulance in your driveway normal?
How 'bout Bagpipers?
NO?
Well, you should have been at our annual block party.
"Thanks Madison County Pipe Band!
Thanks for being great Firefighters and Paramedics!
And playing Amazing Grace.
It gave me chills...
and tears.
You sounded unbelievable.
You ALL ROCK!"

You could have met my wonderful neighbors.
AND you could have seen my crazy neighbor, LaRae playing with the sirens and lights in the ambulance!
Speaking of cute...
"Hi Little Man!"

That is the coolest thing! Who'd a thunk it? No, I've never had bagpipers, an ambulance, and band in my culdsac. (Is that how one spells cul d sac??) Anyway. You party good, lady!

Love bagpipers! That must've been awesome.

I knew it!!! You are the center of the action!

His expression is adorable! Although I couldn't listen to a bagpipe on a daily basis, for something like that, they're really neat!!!

How in the world do you get bag pipers for a neighborhood party?

Is a neighbor a piper? Or is your hood just so popular? lol!

Is the ambulance for "just in case things get to exciting?"

Furry Bottoms said...

That looks like a lot of fun! And they actually allowed LaRae to play with the sirens?!

Honey, isn't it safe to assume there is no NORMAL anymore ;)

And Amazing Grace is always accompanied by waterworks, mine.

I wish you had posted about this BEFORE it happened. I would have loved to have seen it.

love the bagpipes!! Were they the same that performed for the 9-11-11 remembrance concert? Ain't no party like a Rexburg party! :)

I adore bagpipes -- when I was at the Y there were always a couple who'd play up by the tower at sunset (is that what is was called--it's been so long I can't remember). So beautiful!

Now that's some block party! I want to live in your hood.

Sounds like you had a fun time and that was not a normal day in my eyes!

Bagpipers = the bomb.com! I actually used to dance with the Utah Pipe Band back in the day when I was really little. Before I had boobs that bounced around painfully.

Love that little guy's face!

Hey! That's my friend Treven in one of those kilts! He wears it well, doesn't he?! :) (He's a drummer) How fun to have them there!! I'll have to ask him about it!

I swear you have more fun than a barrel of monkeys! And that last picture is the cutest monkey ever! Lucky you!

I'm kind of in love with the tartan plaid. And your little man at the end. Are either for sale?

I love the sound of bagpipes! This is marvelous - at the moment is it normal to see a sheriff's deputy car parked in our yard - our son's until he moves to his new place!
Life is so much fun!
Hope you have a great day,
Kathy
