{Yippee!!!!}

My better half has been traveling again.
He gets home today and will be home for TWO WHOLE DAYS!!

Then he leaves again.
SIGH

Yesterday he called and asked how hard it would be to get time off work.
We're short staffed in the ER right now and for the next couple of months.
I told him it wasn't going to be easy.....may be not even possible.
Then he proceeded to buy my ticket.

Don't have anyone to cover my shifts yet.

But I sorta don't care.

I'm going to FLORIDA!!!!!
I've never been there.
I'm going to plant myself on some sand and look at the ocean for a solid week.
I'm pretty stinkin' excited.
(Hopefully someone won't try and push me back in thinking that I'm beached.)

On another note:

READ THIS BOOK!

I haven't even finished it yet, but I can hardly put it down.
I love WWII stuff anyway, but this is such a lesson on perserverance.

OK, I'm off to try and BEG for someone to work 5 shifts for me in May.
Any takers?
So easy a Caveman could do it.

I can empathize...I have a friend who is a nurse and she often tells me how hard it is for her to get some time off.

I'll work for you. I always wanted to be a nurse. And now that I saved Luvpilot's life, I totally know what I'm doing, right?

If only...I lived closer and could do something so easy a caveman could do it. I hope you find someone to fill in. Enjoy that lovely sand and surf. You deserve some warmth, sweet friend. Idaho winters--ugh!! Take a fun, light book to read and have a Diet Coke with wedge of lime on the beach for me.

Florida...the land of my birth. It's really really warm down there...and sandy. Watch for gators, snakes, iguanas--you will see at least one of those on your trip.
Enjoy the surf and sand!
I'm sure someone will cover for you!

Yeah right! I would not have a clue how to do your work. But I pray someone does step up to the plate and let you enjoy the sand in your toes.
I was just wishing for a new book to read so now I have to find this one.
Enjoy your hubby for his two days home
Love ya

I'll do it! If that's at all possible ;)

Good luck covering your shifts! Have a fab time with your sweetie!

If you weren't in freezing you know where, I would gladly cover your shifts. I know how to give an enema and tell someone to quit crying or I'll give them a reason to cry. That's no where near your expertise, but it'll do for a week.

Completely happy for you to go to Florida - please come home and tell me how wonderful it was and show me pictures of your tan so I can enjoy it all vicariously.

I am SO JEALOUS! I would give just about anything to be in a warm climate on a beach catching some sun relaxing. You are one LUCKY LADY! Have a wonderful time! I really am excited for you!

YAHOO Sounds fun! Love and Hugs :)

Wish I could help, but actually, what I CAN promise to do is make sure not to be brought IN to the ER while you're gone. Then tell your staff that because it's so slow, somebody should take one for the team and not come to work for the week you're gone. Then leave before anyone notices. They'll be grateful to you for cutting your hours, so they can get theirs. Right? You're welcome.

GOOD LUCK! And if you can't find anyone. . .maybe you'll have to quit and go on more trips with him!

I just bought that book today. I'm so glad you are enjoying it.

I'm crossing my fingers that someone can replace you in the ER. You deserve a hot beach vacation with your man and Florida is such fun!

So. Jealous.

Good girl. I have been telling you for years to just go with him. Who cares if you lose the job???? Where in Florida are you going?

If I was a half-assed good nurse I'd totally work it for ya.
You'll love Florida! I totally want to move there. Am writing the name down of the book. Just finished this session of nursing classes and need something that doesn't have the word pneumothorax in it.

Oh my gosh...I am SO excited for you!! A week in Florida with your hubby, enjoying a week with no work, a week with no crazy Idaho weather!! That is cause for saying YIPPEE!!!

I am so thrilled for you, I wish you were here and I could give you a big hug! OH and by the way, if I worked with you, I would definitely be taking your shift so you could go with your hubby!!

ENJOY!!! Hope to catch up to you when you get back and GOOD LUCK with everything!

We all know how hard those ER nurses work--I'm pretty sure it is next to impossible to find a replacement for you.

Florida sounds lovely--I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

Thanks for the recommendation on the book.

{{{{{{{snort, snigger, cough, spray Crystal Light everywhere...}}}}}}}}}

Hope you get to go--I can be a "creative" nurse when I need to be---just ask my kids...

OH TAUNA!!!!! that is so wonderful that you get to go to Florida.
Surely someone will fill in for you...I'd do it, cept I don't like blood and puke and ER stuff.
Sitting on the sand, wiggling your toes, reading a good book (I'll check out the one you recommended, I could use a good dose of perserverance about not).....
sounds like a piece of heaven.
I have been living in Hell, I'm sure of it. and Hell is not hot, its freaking cold.
I want to hear all about it when you get back, photos and everything!!! Cause it is the closest thing I'll get to any sand, sea and palm trees or anything beached.
love ya.

Enjoy your trip to Florida! What a great adventure you'll have. Maybe there's a chance no one will need to go to the ER.

Oh so excited for you!!
I went to FL for the first time a couple of years ago. We would really like to go back.

If you can't find anyone to work for you, let me know. I'll come up and.....think of something. I'm allergic to needles though.
