Do these pants make me look fat?

The chocolates are dipped.
Amen.
Let's see how they turned out.
Buttercream center, dipped in chocolate, rolled in toasted coconut. My personal favorite.

Mmmmm, very creamy texture.
Next we have an orange cream. My personal favorite.

Yum, when they are cold the chocolate kinda crunches and the orange center is just unbelievably orangy.
Next is the ever popular caramel.

The caramel was cooked to perfection this time. Very soft. This one is my personal favorite.
Now we have the pretzel rod. Dipped in caramel and then dipped in chocolate.

It's a bit unusual sounding....but it's my personal favorite.
There are also nut clusters and haystacks.
They are my personal favorites.
I need to emphatically state here that by the time I have cooked the centers and caramel and dipped the chocolates I NEVER feel like eating the chocolates. It's just too much sweetness. I'm tired of the whole mess.
It does take willpower and discipline to resist eating the chocolates but after so many years of doing this I have really obtained near perfection in my ability to withstand temptation.
The question I have for all of you is WHY are my clothes shrinking?

Seriously it's such a mystery.

you have no idea how disgusting it was to smear chocolate on my face just for the sake of blogging

Oh.my.word! You are too much girl...and all for the sake of blogging! There's no telling what levels we'll stoop to in order to write a good post. Very cute!

My pants have shrunk considerably, especially since I can't walk or exercise for another month! I'm gonna be 2 ton Hanna by the time my ankle heals!

Ya are crackin' this farm chick up. Heeheehed! I finished truffles yesterday. Creamy dark chocolate ganash dipped in milk chocolate. It's a two day process but my DIL would disown me if I didn't make them. I had chocolate up to my elbows when the UPS guy came.

Have a super day filled with sweet treats!!!

You're hilarious! I can't wait to have some... wait, you are saving some right?!?! Jess saw a chocolate pretzel the other day at the store and wanted me to buy it. But I told her we had to wait because Grandma would have some next time we visit! :)

My mouth is watering!! I can see why Howie commented about you getting around to making chocolates this year. AMAZING TREATS!

Tracy and I were just discussing the other night the whole process of "Hand dipping" chocolates and how amazing Florence's candy shop and chocolate making skills are.

I need to come and learn how to "hand dip chocolates"! It seems too hard and I wouldn't even know where to begin. I LOVE orange and chocolate and the butter cream/coconut sounds amazing!

I am all over your comment about how you aren't in the mood to eat the treats after you have spent so many hours making them. I am like that about ALOT of things. Give it a day or two after making something and if I try it, it is amazing how good it tastes! It just doesn't taste good right after making it.

My most gourmet thing I make with chocolate is nut clusters. I buy the "bulk chocolate for dipping" at Broulim's that you purchase on the foam trays that are shrink wrapped. Buy a jar of roasted nuts...melt the chocolate, mix in the nuts and drop them onto waxed paper.

So, where do you purchase your yummy chocolate for dipping?

Happy Holidays!! SUCH a fun post. I love seeing other peoples holiday traditions and treats!
