NIGHTLY RITUALS

While in Denver, it was reassuring to me that Lexi insisted on her nightly rituals.
During the 2 1/2 years she lived with us it was horsey rides on grandpa's back.

Every. Night.

Now there are rituals of "head knocker", "jack and the beanstalk" and 3 or 4 others that I couldn't remember.

The important thing is the ritual.
She rules the roost, this child.
And she continues try other delay tactics.
But after prayer and story,
there is finally
this.
And it is sweet.

Very sweet . . . and what a cutie! I think that rituals help keep us grounded, and balanced. Moving away from grandma and grandpa had to be a hard adjustment for her, and for you! I love that the rituals continue!!

Hi, lady:
Do you remember me--Jo? I'm back, I hope. You were the last comment on my post two years ago. I will try to keep up now. I will go back and read some of your recent posts. I have been negligent or negligee or something. I have no idea how to do anything on here any more. Come see me again, please. I think everyone has rightfully so forgotten me.
