RAISING THE WHITE FLAG

I surrender.

It isn't going to get done.

Everything will be after Christmas.

I'm not sure where the days and weeks went.
But they did.
And they did it without me.

It may be without boxes and ribbons and bags.
Or cookies and candies and presents with tags.
But it's fine.
I've enjoyed some awesome moments.
And we are healthy.
And happy.
And family.

Admitting is the first step.

I'm in the same boat. Nothing is getting done. It's too hard when you have to work. I had a panic attack last night thinking about everything that isn't getting done and woke up this morning feeling like, "who cares?" What I get done will be enough. I just can't worry about what I can't do. So that's what I'm saying to you too. Hang in there my friend! I understand.

I am glad I am not the only one. This year I really fell down on the job. Hugs to you and your family. Love you Tauna!

Merry Christmas.

No worries, heck I bought my pies from a local orchard - they're home made. My cookies and treats were from a fund raiser I donated to. All my baking was done for me!!! I agree, Christmas came fast!

Hope your family has a very Merry Christmas!

I sent my son off on his mission last week - December 18th - and I was so busy spending time with him that Christmas stuff got pushed back!

Ten years ago I sent off a missionary son on New Year's Eve. Welp, the week AFTER Christmas is way easier than the week BEFORE!

It must be " one of those years!" We aren't alone in our laments.
Time goes way too quickly :(

There were so many things that I wanted to do, but didn't get to. December is so busy with one of my daughter's birthdays, finals, and Christmas, but this year seemed to have even more than usual, and not even parties in there except my daughter's school party I helped with. At least I got to sit and spend time with family on Christmas day. I really hope yours was great!!

It was a short few weeks between T'giving and C'mas. In my family that means Christmas Day is spread out over Christmas week. It's the day that literally keeps giving.
