I DID WHAT????

Last Saturday I was cleaning the kitchen.
Washing dishes in the sink.

Imagine my surprise when I pulled out:
Yes.
My iPhone.
Soaking in water.

I'm so daft!

Now I use my hubby's old:

It's old.

Like 4 years old.

That's like 18 in dog years.

It's been painful.
I lost my contacts.
And pictures.

I'm never washing dishes again!

I feel sorry for you, but not too sorry - I don't even have an i-phone! At least your phone is clean now! ;-) Really, hope are able to get by.

Well, at least it wasn't the toilet...although I would know nothing about that... ;0)

You should have tried the rice trick. Not that I know if it works or not but I keep hearing about it from every body. :)

My deepest sympathies. Really. Since I'm such a klutz I bought the insurance, but that wouldn't make up for the contacts. I have all my contacts in "the cloud" whatever that is so that won't happen. At my age I can't even remember my own phone number half the time. :(. Blessings, Marlene

Well at least it was clean, I dropped mine in the toilet when I cleaning - I saved it by taking the battery out and putting both the phone and battery in a plastic bag of rice. a day later it worked!

to say the least,I don't clean toilets anymore!

i-yi-yi-yi- yi so sorry about that cleaner than clean i-phone trick but I hope that you didn't throw it away yet. Try putting it in a bag of dry rice to absorb the dampness and it might work again. I heard of that rice trick.

Loosing all the contacts is a pain though, I hope that it will dry off.

Big hugs,
JB

Should you be washing dishes? Have your hands healed?

Besides, you didn't put that phone in the water! The dish gremlin did! Blame him! I have my old Droid X that's only 3.5 years old. You're welcome to use it. It has my contacts in it, but at least there are contacts in it! Right?

ha ha, I don't blame you. I'd never do dishes again either. (dog years...that made me laugh)

So sorry for your loss, stupid technology anyway. What happened to good old rotary phones and phone books anyway? Let alone being able to dial "O" for operator and asking the correct time. OOPS, I am showing my age.

Holly crap! Didn't you have insurance on the phone? That's when you play stupid and say one of your kids/grandkids dumped it in the toilet. I am so sorry. I would be so mad. Technology, it's hard going backward.

My son's i-phone was in his pocket when he jumped in a lake. He put it in a bag of rice and the battery in another bag. In a couple of days it worked good as new...Really!!!!

Good luck sweets.....I'll pray it works for you too.
