TODAY I NEED TO BE....TALLER

I have some seriously bad "roots" going on.
I was a hairdresser.
I know how to color this mess.
I just don't wanna.
My baby girl hairdresser is going to do this job for me tomorrow.

But today at work,
I need taller.

Instead of people looking "down" on me as I run into their xyphoid.
I need taller.

I blame this gray hair of mine on him:
It's contagious.
I caught it from him.

TOTALLY his fault!
Don't let his cuteness fool you!

Or maybe it's hereditary.

And I got it from them!

They are gray hair makers for sure.

And right now,
I need to be 6'4 so that no one can see that white stripe
running through the part in my hair!

How is it that men are "distinguished" with white hair, but women are just old? I don't like that double standard!

My hair just keeps getting whiter and whiter every day and I hate it!

I think your just right with stripe and all. I did not know you use to be a hair dresser. Boy I could use you before this weekend.
My hair has been the color of your sweet hubbys for years but this past year I am getting black roots in a certain spot and I don't need black coming back I am too old for that. lol
Love seeing your family pics. We sure our lucky to have these beautiful gray hair makers in our life aren't we.
Love coming by here and I especially love you stopping by to see me.
Love ya
Maggie

Well, sweet Tauna if you got that gray hair from him then I say let it shine. I think his gray hair is beautiful. Seems more men get the real pretty gray hair than women. My hubby has very nice gray hair and mine is a mousie, muted ugly gray. Hugs

My hair is salt and pepper and I never was brave or vain enough to dye my hair. My mom dyed her hair because my dad didn't like here white hair. He still had dark hair into his old age.

When I lost all my hair through chemo and went totally bald, I realized that God was in charge and it was my reality and I was going to face my reality and I went bald head everywhere. I got stares but I dismissed them. I also got lots of positive comments on how I wasn't hiding my head under a turban in shame and how I inspired them. That was ten years ago. It's now more cool to go bald head.

I think that white hair is beautiful. At least you have hair.
Take care,
Hugs,
JB

You made me laugh....I hear you on being taller! My husband has had gray in his hair since his twenties. He didn't give it to me but our children have some grays in their thirties!

I am waiting for "skunk striping" to become all the rage, I will be stylin' with the best of them. Hey maybe we could start that trend ourselves ;o)

I have gray hairs too. I got them young thanks to genetics. My roots are bad but meh. Don't feel like dealing with them.

Funny....You are still beautiful even with the gray. I used to be able to go eight weeks in between coloring. Not anymore; I am lucky if it lasts 6 weeks! Doesn't it suck to be short?

After the LP's first episode, a white patch showed up front and center, and yes, I blamed him for it.

Paul pulled out a grey hair on ME yesterday! I almost cried! I didn't think red heads were supposed to go grey! Just get lighter! The Big liars!

I love every stinking itty bitty gray hair on your head. Hey, as mom's and over the course of our years experiences, they should be worn like badges of honor. For me..
I notice most gray hairs are in my eyebrows !!!!!!!!!! NOW THAT STINKS.
So we do what we can, and perhaps, if we need to...WEAR SUPER HIGH HEELS (tee, hee)

Why do men look so good grey to me? I love it. I am grateful my guy is going that way.

Don't worry about your hair lady!

Your beautiful just the way you are!

It's times like this that you need to wear a Nurses Cap like they did back in the 1950's!

LOL! Don'tcha hate that? I colored the day BEFORE the wedding since it seems to fade so fast. *sigh*
sucks getting old.
sucks having gray hair.
But what REALLY hurts is the day you find your first gray hair down south.

Never the same again. Ever.

Hubby doesn't believe me when I say that he has a few white hairs.
He's in total denial.

My mom has WHITE hair. She's never dyed it. She always said, "Why should I? With 8 kids I earned every strand!" LOL!

I echo the other comments. Why can men rock the grey and few women can?
On another note, I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't sent your card yet. I saw it in my purse last night and it gave me a rude awakening to my failure. I'm sending it Monday for sure!

I hate when my roots show! :)
This is honestly the reason why I gave up on coloring my hair. HATED the skunk look. You're lucky to have a daughter as your personal hair dresser.

IF I had him, I wouldn't mind inheriting or blaming him for the gray hairs, TTauna ... chuckle!
you are gorgeous, period.

Such a fun post. A number of years ago one of my sisters told me I didn't have any grey hair because I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!!! (ha, ha, ha)

I actually totally understand, I have been getting gray hairs since I was 18 and now have to dye my hair all the time so I don't have gray's.

my gray hairs are coming in around my face and ears--like an angelic glow--lol! I have earned every last one of them too, buttttttt I do feel better about myself when I get a little touch-up every now and then.

I would be happy to give you some of my height for the day. I have never been brave enough to color my hair. I toy with the idea all the time, since my hair is turning gray. Men always look great what ever the color their hair becomes. Glad you have someone who can make those roots disappear. :)

Girl, I know what you mean about being taller. I have that issue with my roots all too often! Can I blame it on your husband too?

Heavens! I hope we don't inherit our husband's hairdo! I'm in trouble if that's the case!
