Emerging from a coma.....

It's been a week of #(*&)(*@# and I'm really glad that I survived. Too much work and not enough time to do what I like. What I really like...no, what I LOVE is going to the hills and going huckleberry picking! It is the most relaxing thing I've ever found. If everyone could come and pick huckleberries with me, there would be world peace. Seriously, it's that awesome.

Some of my favorite things from this very busy week that helped me keep my sanity:
#1: I enjoyed a visit from Kim, she took a really cute picture and you can go to her blog to see it. I couldn't figure out how to do the timer thingy on my camera so I took this one of her:

She was so nice and fun. I was so happy to be able to finally meet her.
#2: My blogbook! I found the idea from Sondra and thought that was so awesome that I copied her idea! I think I won't scrapbook again.

Sondra puts lots of pictures of her family, events and recipes. She prints one monthly and it is kind of a family journal for them. Thanks for the great idea!
#3 Favorite thing: A new Ball Blue Book of Canning. Weird, I know but I love canning books and websites and this book is like the Urim and Thumum of canning. Can't live without it.

#4 Favorite thing: Our Ward Cookbook that we've been working on for over a year finally came! I love Ward Cookbooks, they are my favorite. I love getting tried and true recipes. This is the second book we've done for the ward. They are a lot of work but so worth it.

This was the one that we did 5 years ago...

It's been well used.
#5 Favorite thing: HUCKLEBERRIES and stained purple fingers!

Purple heaven! Life is good!
Note to self: Don't work 7 days in a row again!

I want to do a blog book, but I keep forgetting about doing it! Maybe for Christmas. I'm sure my posterity will be so proud to have my blog to look through for nudity.

You have been busy!
Your huckleberries look awesome. OK i have to tell you I did this once and it was the hardest thing ever. They are small and there were alot of mosquito's. It was fun but we did not get that many - So good job!!
Your blog book looks great. I have been doing blog books for several years and have almost completely gave up scrapbooking. I do mine through a different company but however you do it it makes the memories so much easier to keep and to see. Everyone loves looking at them!
How fun to have a great visit with a blog friend!!
Ward cookbooks are the best! We haven't done one for a long time. It is also fun when you find an old one in a thrift store or something.
Have fun with your Huckleberries - What will you be doing with them?
Have a GREAT rest of your week!!

Tauna, how come you signed up for 7days in a row, knowing you, you were helping someone out that needed some time off! I'll have to find out more about your blog books and are you selling the recipe books? I love ward cookbooks too, and I'm betting there are some great recipes in it from the Bishop's wife/Relief Society counselor!!!

Thanks so much for the Ward Cookbook. I feel like I will always have a bit of Rexburg, ID in my blood. Secondly, the huckleberry muffins didn't last long, so if picking them brings such a good product I am on board.

Last but not least, thats not a bad picture of me, but I wish my tongue was in my mouth, oh well, people get to meet the real me.

Thanks for letting me stay with you, we will need to do it again really soon. BTW--seven days in a row is insane!

It's really fun that Kim was able to stay with you. I think it would be prety fun to clean the temple too. I am sure you two had a great time when you had time to visit.

I'm glad you loved your blog book. I love the sunflowers on the cover. It really makes blogging much more meaningful!

I can't believe you are picking huckleberries - Yummy! When I was a little girl, we always had huckleberry syrup on our pancakes. How I miss that yummy stuff! Great memories of home!

I love my ward cook book too!

I have been wanting to learn how to make your blog into a book. How do you do it?
