I love November cause that's means Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving! It's a no-stress holiday! Well, except the cooking and shopping and cleaning and cooking and cleaning.
It's a non-obligatory holiday. No trick-or-treaters and no gift buying/giving. Besides, it seems like it's OK to have some Christmas decorations in the store during the Thanksgiving season. It's not OK to have Christmas decorations in the store during trick-or-treat season. Seeing Nativity scenes next to ghouls is just wrong.
It messes with my head.
We did have a good time with the ENTIRE family here! Yup all 5 children, 3 spouses, 6
grandchildren, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a partridge in a pear tree.
We carved pumpkins and went trunk or treating. It was great!
The oldest child has moved home from the far reaches of the earth (Houston) They left 95 degree weather and got snowed on here! They brought my 18 month old granddaughter. Therefore, they can stay!
This is child #2 and his family.
Child #3 and his family.
Child #4 and #5 were absent from this particular activity where there was a camera.
They had nothing to do with the trick-or-treating festivities and the family dentist is very depressed about it.
Just in case you didn't know....pumpkin seeds are very slimy.
We had some pretty awesome punkin carvers.
Now I better get busy and start making a list and checking it twice....stuffing, cranberries, turkey, ham, ..........................................

I've been a big fan of going out to eat for the past few Thanksgivings. Really is stress free!
Beautiful family! That's a house full but isn't it wonderful? Thanksgiving is a great holiday...when there's help preparing the meal AND cleaning up!
Hard to believe the year is almost over!
Awe... I loved all the pictures of your family especially the GRAND~children! They are so cute. I loved the kitty. She is adorable.
I just hate that we are already to November. Where did 2009 go anyway?
Sorry about your snow.

wow...you sure did have a fun Halloween! You guys are great pumpkin carvers! ...and all your kids and their families are too cute! You are blessed to have them all around you! ...no family near us...it can be sad and stress-free all at the same time! ;)
November is my 2nd favorite month..
Your humor always makes me laugh!! I loved seeing the photos of your kids. Your #2 child looks just like your hubby!
Adorable grand kids and I am SO glad on your NOT so favorite holiday you got to have SO much fun with your family!!
I'm ready as well for Thanksgiving!! I don't even think about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.
Everytime I read your blog, I KNOW we were meant to be friends....albiet we may never meet until the next life.....and at the rate I am going, unless you are headed for HELL, we still won't hook up.......do they allow visiting teachers in HELL??
I have 5 kids too......and 5 spouses, and 10 grandkids. Ah the family get togethers. Pure bedlam and joy all at the same time. I sure miss them.
Thanksgiving truly is the BEST holiday. Canada thanksgiving doesn't have the same feeling as American thanksgiving....or maybe I am just too "New" here still .
I love that it is just all about food and family..........and bedlam, and dishes, and clean up.
I am the oldest of 6 kids.. and when we meet all together.. It's chaos! ~~ BUT SOON FUN!!
I bet there is always fun at your home.. :) You are a fun lady!
I love Thanksgiving too! Bring it!
You crack me up! I'm glad you get to have your 18 month old staying with you (and her parents - he he).
I love November too!...Well, I love all the holidays - but this is much less stress because I am a daughter and get to go to my mothers to be spoiled (although I do help).
Enjoy your wonderful family (wow 5 kids - good for you).
Looks like you had a wonderful time!
What a beautiful family you have. I'm sure it's fun whenever you get together.
