I AM LESS OF AN INVALID

The cast came off today!
Can I get an AMEN!
It was a long 6 weeks for sure.
One arm is tan.
This is the pin that was anchored in my basilar thumb joint.

I also am also given the go-ahead to not use the shoulder sling from the rotator cuff surgery.
Now to just build some muscle strength.

MARTIN'S COVE

We were able to go with our ward to Martin's Cove and 6th Crossing.

This is a significant historical place for members of the LDS faith.

We wore pioneer clothing, camped and ate outdoors.

We battled heat and mosquitos.
We had no comforts of home.

We trekked miles and miles through sagebrush and heat.

It was a great experience.

We were able to see historical markers of the Oregon Trail, Pony Express trail and Mormon Pioneer Trail.
I am so thankful for the Pioneer heritage that I have.

SHENANIGANS

A couple of the kids (and grandkids) came home for a short visit.

To wish dad a Happy Birthday.
And have some fun.

Shenanigans ensued.

And it was fun.

HUMPTY DUMPTY

Had a great fall.
Yup me.
Nice sunshiny day.
I was trying to clean up the debris from winter.
I tripped over the shop vac hose down here.....
I landed hard on my right arm.
I thought for sure I had broken my humerus.
But nope.
Good news.

Bad news.
The doc thinks I may have torn my rotator cuff.
I can't raise my right arm.
Really obnoxious.

I will wait and see if it improves.

And I was in a mood. So Candice cut my  hair off.
And it feels good.
