I'm done at 1830.
I work weekends.
And holidays.
I won't even get into the unimaginable things
that may be required
in that 12 hour shift.
Howie has worked like its "tax season"
all of our married life.
Farming.
Dairy cows.
Systems design
12 hour days
and many hours after work.
We pay over $600.00 for health insurance.
Every. Single. Month.
And hope we never have to use it.
And the money we had in savings?
We "get" to use to pay our taxes.
So that it can be wasted ....
in Washington.
I'm a little cranky about it.

I'm cranky right there with you.
I would be cranky too! It's not fair at all and it makes me angry. ((HUGS))
There is something not right with this picture. The fat cats will have their day of reckoning some day. This is just not fair and I would be cranky too.
Hugs,
JB
I would certainly be cranky as well.
I didn't know what to expect from your title. But I'm WITH YOU, SISTER!
I LOVE YOU.
It is so incredibly frustraating to think all our hard work, and the money we try and SAVE and budget, gets mis-spent or wasted by our government.
that saying at the top of your blog.....I had that memorized from about 4 years ago.
I love it.
I agree, so not fair. Who do we see about that? I keep giving my money to my mechanic and medical professionals.
Thanks for still visiting my blog even though I blog so infrequently.
I appreciate it. :)
Love the title of this post. Isn't this part of our life supposed to be a little easier. This post made me a little cranky thinking about all I pay and how wasteful it is. I haven't even looked at my taxes yet; yikes!
It makes me cranky, too!! But then, you probably already knew that about me.
Honey don't get me started on this I would leave a comment long enough to write a book.
Cranky is a nice word compared to how I feel about Washington and my taxes.
Love ya
Maggie
We pay $1000.00 a month for the two of us and have a $3000.00 deductible, EACH!! My out of pocket, don't get me started! And this is suppose to be the start of AFFORDABLE Health Care???????
Can I say I feel your pain!!!
I'm more than cranky. I;m down right pissed for us and so many like us in the same sitch
How's about some of that ativan now?
You said it without swearing! I'm impressed! :) (not that I think you swear...)
Oh don't even get me started, it is insane how much money is wasted and just all of the stupid things they do.. okay I am done now
First of all, I know your pain. We were hit with a FREAKING THIRTEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR TAX BILL this time. Apparently we bumped up into a new bracket and our accountant didn't notice. And of course, we were penalized for putting the money back into the business by hiring another worker and helping him to provide for his family instead of buying something that would have knocked us down to the lower bracket. So guess what we had to do? Sell our car, so we could pay the damn bill. Which meant we had to buy a new car and accrue new payments and interest, because CLEARLY we made SO MUCH MONEY that we MUST have been able to buy it outright, right? Yeah, no. Weird. Go figure.
Secondly, we've had several reasons to visit the ER and hospital over the last month, most recently today as my son had a tonsillectomy and started to hemorrhage. And I just want to thank you, dear nurse, from the bottom of my heart for the kind care and keeping that those of you in this profession give to we who are in need every single day that you punch in with your timecard. It does not go unnoticed, or unappreciated, even if the damn government takes more than they should.
Love you.
I can relate!
Half the population has to kill themselves so the other half can sit around and complain that they don't have enough in "entitlements"!!
It's the American way....
It's just not right...is it? I stay cranky on this subject! Hugs
Something wrong with the system. Something needs to change!
