Quit Complaining {GIVEAWAY}

I complain far too much.

"It's cold here.
It's snowing here.
It's gray here.
It's raining here."

Well, I just need to stop it.

Why?
Because I live here, I get to meet people who send their children to school here.
(But WHY would you send your loved ones to live in this frozen wasteland?)

Last week a blog friend flew out here to be with her daughter who had a baby.
I got to meet Jenny from Denton Sanitorium and we had lunch today.
She's the sweetest (dare I say "new grandma????")

She lives in someplace that has actually seen 100 degree weather!!!
(I bow to your greatness Jenny!)

We went to eat at the classiest place I could think of.
I wanted to her to have a real Idaho experience.

We had a burger at Big Jud's...home of the 6 pound burger. (no lie)
Yes, this is the burger and this is Big Jud!

Did I eat one of those burgers?
No.
Jen didn't either.

I think I talked nonstop and I totally enjoyed myself.
"Thanks Jenny!"
I guess I need to stop complaining because I have met some fabulous women because I live here.
So I'll stop complaining.
Maybe.

So the giveaway.

I have a bunch of those blingy watches.
I have a great friend that makes and sells them.

I've decided that I love them on others, but can't stand them on my own wrist.
I don't wear them.
Why do I buy them?
I guess I'm not a blingy kinda gal.
I'm more of a bland-ey kinda gal.

So instead of having them take up space in my dresser I'm giving them away.

Yup!
They are yours.

All you need to do is leave a comment.

Then leave a second comment telling me what creative dance, spell or trick you are going to do to get sunshine here.
That's it.

I'll do the drawing while I'm pondering the mysteries of the universe as I'm sitting on the beach in Florida. Unless my brain doesn't work in the sun.
Off to pack!
T minus 1 1/2 days!!!

  10. For my warm weather dance I would suggest wearing a Zumba hip scarf and shaking "it" while standing on the roof. Yup, I heard this works.

  11. I was going to make a joke about sunshine out my butt, but that would be crass, so I won't.

  12. Comment #1. . .I LOVE Big Juds. . .its one of the places on our "to go to" lists when we visit. Actually here is our list in order of importance:
    Chiz's ALWAYS #1
Gator Jacks-is that what that new place is called-I found it on my last trip there and since Papa Kelsey's is gone it has taken its place on my list.
    Coco Bean
Big Juds & Fongs are tied
    Taco Time-LOVE the empinadas
There are a FEW things to LOVE about the burg!

  15. Oh, and my trick to usher in the sun... Every morning, I open the curtains and -- rain or snow, I say "Wow! It looks like a beautiful day!" I am hoping one of these days it is the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bling it on me!
Enjoy your sun-filled trip to Florida! When you get back, you'll bring the sun with you!

Glad you could have lunch with Jenny. How fun!

  17. I came to Idaho to get away from the 100 degree weather! Just kidding! It did rain a bit much for my taste too.

    ReplyDelete
  18. When I go back to Oklahoma I will send all sorts of warm up vibes while I'm enjoying our pool which opens in a few weeks!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'll leave a comment, but don't put me in the give away. I just think it's cool that you get to meet so many blog buddies!

    ReplyDelete
  20. How fabulous that you got to meet a bloggy friend!!! Sounds like you had a great lunch!

Enjoy Florida!! WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!! Seriously, you aren't used to that level of sun and you are really going to be sorry if you don't! Put a lot on and re-do it every hour and a half! And wear a hat!

Your weather will magically improve the second you name me as a winner. For reals! But hurry because the world is ending in 11 days and our mail is pretty slow. Just sayin.

  21. Thank you so much, these are adorable!!

  22. As for the warm weather, I will magically send any that comes our way to you so it doesn't get too hot here. I don't like intense heat!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh...And I will put on my ruby red slippers and click my heels together 3 times to bring the sunshine to Idaho! (I don't have to send pictures, do I?)

    ReplyDelete
  24. You get to go to Florida, you lucky duck! I think even the ocean water is warm there. Next time I'm up your way I'm definitely having a Tauna visit!

    ReplyDelete
  25. So neat that you got to meet Jenny!
And Big Jud's is a Boise hometown institution!
The watches are cute, but I wouldn't wear them either.
As for weather...we're expecting a dash of snow this week. lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. Even though they are beautiful...I'm a bland-ey kind of girl myself.

I'm going to sing the good weather here...

    of course..
"There is Sunshine in my Soul today.. la la la

    totally lame, I know

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like those watches, but I rarely wear anything besides my bland watch. Maybe I should branch out?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Um...to get the sun, I'm gonna pray that you bring it back with you from FL!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love u long time... U look so skinny in that picture by the way!!! We need to have lunch so u can sit and admire my eyebrows! :) I don't mind the complaining, because come July and August, you will be hearing it from me! I'm so jealous ur going to Florida!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay so for the bling.

I obviously know a fail proof way to brin the sunshine. If I go up there and walk outside naked... Because I am so white people will be confused as to why they are seeing the awesome brightness of the sun but are lacking the warmth... But see it also confuses the sun who will come outbid his hibernation to defend his rightful honor as the one with the brightest rays...

Then I will burn and suffer horribly, but for you to get the sun... I'd do it.

    The end.

    ReplyDelete
  31. As for the dance????

Well there is no shunshine here today so imagine me dancing around a pad of yellow note paper, then singing and wadding each paper up and making ONE big ball of SHUNSHINE!!!

We are heading to Pokey on Sunday and the nerve of your leaving...or is that why you are leaving? You knew I was headed that way?

    Have fun on your trip!
Write your name in the sand and get a sun burn! Woot!

    ReplyDelete
  32. That burger is INSANE! I can't believe anyone would even want to take that on. I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip!

    ReplyDelete
  33. To bring you some sun, I will run around my house with my face to the sky once, but only once because the construction crew across the street judges me. lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. You kknow me! I love Watches and Bracelets!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't know if there is a dance, trick or even magic that could bring the sunshine to the burg! You'll just have to store up some and steal it from Florida!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I try not to complain about the rain and snow either.. but I have done my fair share of it these last 3 months! Even the WEATHER and news anchors are complaining here!!

Live it up in Florida. Have the happiest.. most relaxing time.

How do you stop the rain? Well.. after Wendy did her naked moon dance.. it was sunny the next day in Utah. Maybe Wendy's nakedness is the key....

  37. Comment number uno

HOLY shit! Yes, I said the S word - that BURGER!! WHo on earth can EAT that?? (prolly me)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Comment numero dos

I apologize for saying sh** on your blog. It sorta snuck out, but we both know I don't have much of a filter.

For the bling - I will be doing a rendition of How Great Thou Art in the showers at the Gym Friday morning.

Need it recorded or do you believe me? (the accoustics in there are AWESOME and I may have alledgely sung there openly before. ALLEDGELY)

    ReplyDelete
  39. You know the old saying "misery loves company", so I LOVE WHEN YOU "COMPLAIN"--makes me feel much better.

Let me know how the "dancing" goes--I'm getting a little tired of the rain here. But, at least it's better than snow.

I hope you have a GREAT time in Florida.

    ReplyDelete
  40. BTW, that is some hamburger--WOW.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well that burger is a heart attack waiting to happen. I'm pretty sure my son would want to order one, just because.

You don't have to stop complaining to me. There is a reason I left UT.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I plan on doing the naked sun dance for you. It's the least I can do.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Have a great time in Florida. Hope you have fun in the sun!
