PEEPS CARNAGE!

WARNING!!!!!
If you suffer from a weak stomach you may want to avert your eyes.

This is PEEPS carnage!

It's the carcass...uh...carcasses...carcasseseseses...carcii

The remains of many PEEPS!

I had to buy a bunch of PEEPS in different colors.

So I could make this:

I found this idea here and fell in love!!!!
She also had this little number that I had to bloppy (blog copy).

And YES I did bite the ears off one of the bunnies!

A couple of years ago I made these:

I don't like the taste of PEEPS
but,
I sure have fun with them!

  6. It's a travesty:(

Have you ever roasted them? They taste like creme brulee :)

  7. Peeps taste yummy even when they are carnage and especially when they are covered in chocolate!
You are getting to be one crafty chick (hee hee get it!)!

  8. I don't like the taste of peeps either. I don't know if you know Sami of Symmetry in Motion, but she does a monthly contest with some type of candy that you do a craft with, video, whatever and you enter and can win a prize. She is awesome and this month the candy is peeps-so you could totally enter this.
    Here's her blog http://symmetry-in-motion.blogspot.com/

  12. Cuteness! I feel the need to copy. I hate Peeps too, other than decorating with them.

  13. Good thing you don't like peeps cuz I can't imagine how they'd be compatible with 5.7 mile runs:)

One of my favorite things to hear is my nephews asking my dad, "Grandpa, can I have a peep?" in his cute, little boys voice. My dad seems to always have some on hand:)

  14. I too was expecting some sort of experiment gone horribly wrong. {{deep sigh}}}
Your crafts are darling. How is that something so cute can taste so awful???

  15. You are always having fun at your house!

  17. Tauna you are sure keeping busy with your hubby out of town. LOVE the Easter/Spring crafts you have created. LOOKS so cheerful.

I saw your handsome hubby today as he was walking to the balcony...he walked by my desk as I was deep in thought answering the CHAT I was on. I was SO excited I wanted to scream, thinking how happy my friend Tauna must be that her hubby is home for a little bit!!

I DO NOT LIKE PEEPS! It's hilarious to me that they're my mom's favorite treats. I don't know how she can stand to eat them. Every Easter when I was a little girl I knew I would wake up and there would be PEEPS and a chocolate hollow bunny for all of us kids. I think the only way I could handle PEEPS is if I had fun creating crafts with them like you are.

    You're a sweetheart!! Hope you're having a great day!

  18. Did you just burn the back of those poor peeps with hot glue?

I made those jars last year too!
A pain to stick those little suckers in so they stood at attention.

  19. Peeps are only okay if they're frozen :)

    way cute!!!

  22. Cute post! I do enjoy Peeps. I found a recipe this year to make tasty nests and put a Peep in them with some jelly bean eggs. I like what you made, very cute.

  23. Peeps are the most disgusting candy ever. Maybe next to the orange circus peanuts! They deserve carnage. Burn 'em baby - Burn 'em!

  25. Pretty darn cute! I was expecting to see mutilated marshmallows, because that's the kind of thing I would find around here...wasn't expecting wall art. :) I have some little peeps of my own who love making these!

  26. WOW Tauna, I love that.
    Hate peeps.
but love the way they look in the frame (bitten off ear and all) Cutest idea ever. I am going to have to refer my daughter Emma (who never seems to blog anymore) to this idea. She loves to EAT them when they get hard and stale.

I really liked the cute gift idea you sent to Cherie. all those different candys/pills

YOU are truly a gem of a friend. You are the best kind of candy in it's prettiest wrapper my friend.

  27. oh now I want to BLOPPY that idea!! So cute! But I'd probably cut the ear off of mine. NOT a fan! I had a roommate that loved them, but only the purple ones, and once they dried out. To each their own I guess... :) Happy Easter!

  28. Clever and cute - both you and the peeps!
The bitten head reminds me of a story of sending care packages back and forth with an old boyfriend and neither of us could resist a bite out of a piece of candy that we were sending. Oh I guess you had to be there - it was funny...

  29. I love your twisted sense of humor, putting an appendage challenged Peep in your arrangement. Embrace diversity!

  30. when you decide you want to retire and get away from all the 10 months of snow in ICEBURG, ID why don't you come build a house out on the ranch? we can be peep-pals....but not in that creepy way that THAT just sounded like. seriously though. we need to live closer to each other so we can make all sorts of fun treats out of peeps gore n' guts! lub u. ::hugs::

  31. p.s.
i wonder how "roasted peeps" taste when cooked out at my fire pit.....will have to try and then let ya know. :D ...i'm thinking yummmmmmmm...

  32. Peeps are so disgusting in an Easter Basket with grass stuck to them, but they are an adorable decoration, even those that have been dismembered! I need to make my Mary Brown Easter cake so you have a way to use all your colorful leftovers. Thanks so much for another big smile ;D

  33. I love what you have done with the Peeps. My hubby loves those things, but they are way too sweet for me. I would much rather have them around my house the way you have them around yours than to eat them.

Thanks, for stopping by my blog. I cannot believe you still have snow, is it ever going to go away? I hope soon you see some warmer weather and some pretty flowers. Hugs
