I wasn't ready last week.
I am now.
Do I really have to take down the tree?
We made a flying trip to Utah LATE Christmas Eve and back home on Christmas Day.
Loved being with some of the family.
Don't love not being with ALL of the family.
Call me selfish.
They will all be here for New Year's Eve.
I should probably warn the neighbors.
I know what you mean about the one day trip, we have done that too. I too am selfish, I always want the whole family here, together! Have a super great New Year together! :D
ReplyDeleteWe had a certain family member missing this year, so it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you and your New Years celebrations!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what happened to you, thought maybe you spent Christmas in the ER!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your gingerbread nurse, did you craft it yourself. . .
Happy New Year don't party to hard,
Luv ya,
sj
Keep the tree up. Haven't you seen people who keep their lights up all year long? If you can make it to July, then you're closer to December, and might as well save yourself some trouble. I'm feeling the same.
ReplyDeleteI put up all my stuff late this year too and now it's time to take it all down! Next year I hope to be more on the ball, lol!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the family!!!
I've always thought the Christmas Season should be at least two months long. By the time you get in the swing of things, it's over...
ReplyDeleteHave a great New Years!!
I am SO with you... I almost didn't look forward to Christmas this year because I was NOT READY. How does that even happen??? Glad you get everyone for New Year's... we had to settle for "mostly everyone." Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, if you get a chance (and you haven't already...), stop by and check out my blog for my new music for 2011. I would love some new followers and comments to get me started! www.archangelmusic.blogspot.com
Hey By the way, thanks for the Chocolates, it was a nice sweet surprise!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a grand celebration with the family. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to 2011!! I'm pretty much done with 2010! It was a tough year.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy new years eve with your family and a GREAT new 2011 year ahead!
Love ya.
well if they are all there i hope you rock the neighborhood! have fun with everyone. i had mine all together on Christmas for a few hours. Crowded, crazy and wonderful, just the way family gatherings are meant to be! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI am SO ready to take down all the holly and jolly, but we are hosting New Years so I don't want to make an even bigger mess. Jan 1...it's comin' down!
ReplyDeleteI looked at the title and thought, "Oh good! She's ready for Christmas." Then I looked at the date and laughed.
ReplyDeleteHey... Leave your tree up as long as you want. ;)
My tree is up until Jan 2nd...by then, I am ready to get on with the New Year! Hope your gathering is a blast!
ReplyDeleteFlying Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? You're brave!
ReplyDeletethat's a crazy trip woman! glad you enjoyed your Christmas - but it sounds like the real fun is coming for New Year's :)
ReplyDeleteDidn't you love Keelys ornaments! Your nurse is darling...she is talented!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas sounds a little crazy!! That rocks that your family will all be there for New Years! We're paddling that same canoe.
Happy New Year!!!
Love ya girly!!!!
Me too! I can totally relate. I feel like I completely missed Christmas! My tree is still coming down this weekend, though.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Love your gingerbread nurse! Funny how Christmas comes and goes whether we're ready or not.
ReplyDeleteI hope the trip to Utah on Christmas eve was a happy, need to be with family, trip and not stressful!
Enjoy your new years celebration!
I didn't want to take my trees down either. I had them all set on timers so the lights would be on when I got up each morning and I loved coming downstairs to them.
ReplyDeleteI've done those crazy trips to UT before - a few times!
Hope you have a great time this weekend!
Oh you crack me up! so did you get your shopping done?!
ReplyDeleteAlso. . .I hope you didn't jinx me. . .it has always been a BIG fear that I would end up in scouting. . .I am made for young womens or r.s. NOT scouting!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! ALMOST scares me as much as potty training!
What a cute ornament. Just leave it up for awhile. We work so hard at decorating that I hate to pack it all away so soon. I will be waiting at least another week. So glad you got to be with family and how awesome that you will be with everyone tomorrow night. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou're supposed to take it down??!!
ReplyDeleteACK!!
Seriously--I hope you have the best New Years ever--what a treat! I hope to hear about it on the national news.....
I can't wait for it all to end and get back to my nice cozy rut!
ReplyDeleteNo plans for New Years Eve.....NONE!
Take down the holiday menagerie and revel in the blank canvas ahead:)
And I fully agree, about the totem pole idea.
That was a quick trip! Glad you got to be with a lot of your family. We took our Christmas stuff down today.. Now everything looks so empty.
ReplyDeleteI hate seeing the Christmas and Holiday Season come to an end. It came way too fast and is going by even faster. I am always sad when I have to take the tree and decorations down.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice Christmas and hope you really enjoy your New Years celebration.
