Pinch me...I'm living in a DREAM WORLD!

My hubby travels for work.
A lot.
I don't love it.

He had to fly to Minnesota last week.
Then this week he flies onto Indiana.
So.
I flew to Minnesota to stay for a long weekend with him.
SO FUN!!!!
It is beautiful here!
Lush.
Green.
Rolling hills.

Saturday night we went into "the cities" and ate dinner.
On a rooftop.
It was so awesome.
Great view.
Great food.
Great company.
Not sure why I didn't take pictures from the rooftop.
We could see some stadium that said TWINS on it.
(Whoever they are.)
Well, I do know why I didn't take pictures.
Howie was making fun of me for looking like a tourist.
(Doesn't every one stand on the sidewalk looking directly overhead at skyscrapers and taking pictures?)

They don't have tall buildings like this where I come from.
Sunday we enjoyed going to church in Mankato.
Then the rest of the day doing NOTHING.
(That never happens.)

Tomorrow Howie goes to work.
I go SHOPPING!
I think I could get used to living
in a
DREAM WORLD!

  2. I am from Minneapolis. I lived near the Twins Stadium They tore it down and put up the Mall of America. We swam every day in a lake. The land of 10,000 lakes.

Hey, watch out for knifes especially the large variety! Ekk girl that looked like no fun, but the water, rafts and family all did.

I'm from somewhere that has tall buildings (no not here in Idaho) I grew up near San Francisco and I still love to take pics of tall buildings so no worries - Love your picture! All cities are different!

  7. I so love to travel. I will never forget my first layover in Minneapolis MN. I had a three hour layover. I was going to Ohio to visit my SIL and she told me to just hang out and wait because she didn't me to find the shopping that can happen in the airport. Little did she know I can't sit for very long without getting the itch to go find out what's out there and I did find you guess it SHOPPING! Good thing I didn't have any more time or I would have gone to the Mall of America. Have some fun :)

  11. That's a dream I'd be willing to live. Especially the doing nothing, and not needing to feel guilty about it, since you're in a strange city. Have a wonderful time!

  16. Honey, don the bermuda shorts and the Hawaiian shirt and the camera around your neck. Then try to speak Japanese... it really adds. And snap away! If you have my memory and you don't have pics of schtuff -- you forget it ever happened two days later! "Rooftop - what rooftop?" See, it's prolly happenin' already. *sigh*

Pah-lease come back to Rexy safe and sound. Well, at least safe. :)

  17. I think Minnesota is beautiful. In fact, I just heard today that Eden Prairie was named the top place to live in America ; )

Mankato always reminds me of Little House on the Prairie.

Glad you had such a wonderful weekend.

  24. Well that sounds fun. Minnesota is quite pretty actually! My dad was from there.
I stood like that under the twin towers in NYC once and took a picture. I am so glad I did!

  25. YAY that you got to fly to Minnesota and be with Howie for the weekend!!
There is nothing worse than having to be without your hubby when they have to go on business trips or scout campouts, etc... What a blessing that things worked out for you to accompany him before he leaves yet again for another trip.

SO happy that you got to experience a dream world for a few days!! ENJOY EACH and EVERY MOMENT! (which I know you are).

Awesome photo of the sky scrapers...you captured it perfectly! I was just thinking about what a "Small community" we live in as I was driving home today and if the Temple wasn't on the hill, we don't really have any TALL buildings to see from very far away.

It's fun to go to church in the Mission Field...it's different, yet the same. You guys are diligent to go to church even when you're out of town on a trip. That inspires me as I'm not that diligent all of the time.

    Have a wonderful week!!
