I received this fabulous book in the mail.
I couldn't put it down!
I didn't clean, cook or do anything in the last several weeks!
It was one of the best reads EVER
THANKS GIGI!!!
You are the sweetest Southern Belle!
It was so exciting and spell-binding.
I couldn't wait to see how it ended!
AND
You'll never guess what I got!????
I GOT A NEW CAR!!!!!!!
{squeal here}
It was so exciting!
I've NEVER had a new car before.
Personally I think I look pretty hot with this car.
Don't you agree?
Thanks so much Cherie! Bloggy friends are so kind and thoughtful! She knows my taste in cars!
In other news, I have been busy. I am taking a photography class in a nearby city for the next 8 weeks. I'm loving that.
I'm also taking a Cricut class for the next 4 weeks in that same nearby city.
And...
because kids are out of the house
and...
because my better half is no longer bishop
I find myself with a bit more time.
I would hate to be bored.
I have decided to start getting more involved with card-making and scrapbooking.
Thank goodness I have a new car to get me to all my classes.
Now my better half wishes I would start making some Pioneer Woman food! {I'm not THAT bored!}
Congrats on that new car!!! I'd say you probably look great on it!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI should probably go visit that Pioneer Woman blog, I keep hearing about it. I'm just scared that then I'd have that much less time to do ot5her things.
Good luck with your classes, sounds like they're keeping you busy. That's awesome!
I'LL HAVE TO CHECK OUT HER BOOK, I QUITE FOLLOWING HER BLOG, I JUST DON'T LIKE BLOGS THAT GET SO BIG THAT IT'S NOT A FRIENDSHIP THING ANYMORE. LOVE THE NEW CAR..I WANT ONE TOO! SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE HAVING FUN FUN FUN...WATCH OUT OR DADDY WILL TAKE YOUR T-BIRD AWAY!!! COME SAY HI :D
ReplyDeleteYou have some awesome bloggy friends.
ReplyDeleteThat is the kind of car that, well... you better be careful not to get a ticket. Cop magnet. Seriously. I love PW's recipes. But honestly, I usually love reading them and thinking about them more than actually making them. That is my problem with most recipe books. But I suppose it is good that I don't always make them, or I would weigh 350 pounds... and would never fit in sexy car like yours:)
ReplyDeleteWow, you got a terrific book (the one that I want!) and a new car...all in the same week! You lucky girl you!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to be taking the photography and cricut classes. I keep telling myself that as soon as I'm walking around, back at work, and everythings normal, that I'm going to start doing some things that interest me too. Good for you! You've given me inspiration.
(I just haven't started anything because I know I'll be going back to work within the next couple of weeks and I don't know my schedule yet. Darn those nurse schedules!)
I got the Pioneer Woman Cookbook for Christmas and I LOVE IT!!! I have tried several reciepes, but my families favorite is the Apple Dumplings...my husband said he dreams about them...hee hee...AND they are SO EASY!
ReplyDeleteYour classes sound VERY exciting!!! Glad you get to do some FUN things...and now you have a cute car to get you there!! Have FUN!!
LOL!! Great stuff and totally worth waiting for!!!
ReplyDeleteNow...we wanna see PICS of your creations!!!!!!
I'm so proud of you -- and so completely jealous of your new set of wheels. Both Bridger and I are. I love cars that you don't even hafta put gas in. So fab, you are!
ReplyDeleteTauna so glad you like the "wheels" I knew you belonged in a fast sports car!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou will LOVE the PW cookbook it is yummy but everything in there is super rich and fattening so it is one of those cookbooks I personally have to use in moderation - hee hee.
I love that you are taking a photography class that is cool!
I have never heard of a cricut class before - you'll have to share what you are learning there...interesting.
Have a great Sunday!!!!
Sounds like you have some great things coming up. I have that cookbook on my Mother's Day gift list.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new car! I am definitely a red car woman myself! Look at you go with the classes! Have fun. :)
ReplyDeleteI got the cookbook for my birthday. I have not been home yet to use it. I love her blog and her way with telling about everyday things. Do you love the photography class? I need to take one. The car is not you. Something a little classier is what you need. You would just get tickets in the one you are holding.
ReplyDeleteTauna, I would have to say that you do have some wonderful Blogging friends...cook book, new car, WOW! (Wink)
ReplyDeleteI read through the Pioneer Woman cookbook on one of our Friday night dates and loved it! She has such a clever, captivating writing styles and her recipes look delicious and amazing as well.
Lucky you to be able to take a photography class. That is something that I would love to do. It will be great to see the fun things you are learning. I LOVE TO TAKE PHOTOS, but still have lots to learn about better composition, etc...
So glad you are beating the January "Blah" with two fun classes! There is nothing more fulfilling than learning and expanding your talents! Enjoy your day!
Oooh! Cherie was so good to you.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I hear.. that PW cookbook is all the rage. I never quite caught on to her blog.. so I hope some people will post her best recipes to share with some of us that are not on the PW bandwagon! *wink*
The classes sound so fun! I seriously need a few photography classes in my life. It's rather embarrassing that I have a blog AND show photos when I take such yucky photos with lots of "flashes." One day... (sigh)
Soo glad you are ON for October!
This is going to be Fun! Fun! Fun!
Wow! A new car! Lucky you! Thanks for visiting my blog, and I too love scrapbooking. It is so rewarding! Thank you for visiting my site...did you try the salad?
ReplyDeleteT
Red cars are faster!
ReplyDeleteI usually visit Pioneer Woman blog and take recipes from there. But lately I've been thinking I need a recipe book for myself.
Have fun with your classes! I'm happy for you, that you are able to go and enjoy such fun things.
Have a great day.
Sandra
I was wondering where you were! Glad you had fun. What a wonderful gift from Gigi! I'm sure you'll enjoy making the recipes from that book when you're bored! Love your car. Hope you can get your scrapbooking supplies in there!
ReplyDeleteA photography class and a cricut class. How fun. I have wanted to take a photography class FOREVER. I may have to look into it. Let me know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteThe new car is so cute. FUN. I've always wanted a red car, but I have a lead foot and just know that if I had one I might as well put a big sign on the car that says, "Here I am give me a ticket" ; )
Have a great day.
Take Brenda's advice!!!! The Apple Dumplings are to die for, no really they are, I promise! I made 4 pans full for an open house a few years ago and they were the biggest hit, especially with a little vanilla ice cream! Every one must try them at least once in their lives :)
ReplyDeleteGo you!!! Way to get yourself out there into classes again :) I'm right there with you all the way.
Cute Cherie! Way to be a great support to your friend, you're the best!
Glad you liked the book, I've really enjoyed it too, but really the pancakes and the apple dumplings are the only recipes I have ever tried. I really bought it for the pictures, they are amazing :)
((warm winter hugs))
Isn't that cookbook the best ever!? My mom-in-law spoiled me with that book too! Now you need to revamp the Ward cookbook and add more of Tauna's special recipes.
ReplyDeleteLove the new car, you're a hotty! ;)
How sweet! Gigi does seem like a sweetheart! It must be that Southern hospitality! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen you DO start making recipes from that cookbook, make sure your sharing the end result! I drool over her food!
Cute car...I am totally jealous of all those classes...especially the photography! Have fun! It would have to be a REALLY great cook book to inspire me to cook.
ReplyDeleteoh, the therapy hubby was referring to was hair therapy. i should've clarified. alas, no money left to snag a new outfit with.
ReplyDeletesooo jealous over your new book, AND your new car, AND your new classes. i didn't even know they had cricut classes. funny. i knew a gal in rexburg that HAD a cricut in her scrapbooking shop when they first came out, but i didn't realize they had classes. perhaps if i'd known that when i received one a few weeks back, i wouldn't have packed it back up and sent it back to the store. seemed WAY too complicated & expensive of an endeavor for me. =) am SUPER DUPER jealous of your photo class. i miss my friend, john hoobler. never had a class with him, but he always gave me the best pointers. i miss stopping by his studio for moral photo support. =) are you planning on the october get together with cherie???? i AM. would be so nice to meet you in person!
Love the new car! Hope you enjoy your classes. Sounds like you are already.
ReplyDeleteGlad your not bored while hubby is away.
Take care
Maggie
I hope you'll share the cards you make! My sister is my card maker/scrapbook maker. I have no patience, so I email her the ideas I like and tell her to create them for me.
ReplyDeletep.s. Love the new car!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you have a new car. Congratulations. You sound like you have ben very busy with all those classes. Thats really exciting. I love Pioneer Woman. What are you fixing for dinner?
ReplyDeletei got that cook book for me and my daughter. love looking through it although i go to her websit if i am looking for a recipe. old habits die hard! enjoy the car.
ReplyDeleteWhat, your hubby was a Bishop, why didn't i know that. My brother is a Bishop (he married us)
ReplyDeleteI come from good stock, despite my behavior.
nice car ---Cherie is the best for sure. The transmission went out in our car and now i have nothing to drive as I wouldn't dare drive hubby's truck. It's to big for me.
Now - do I get a new car, or fix the transmission????/bummer
Cook books are fun --I like to look at the pictures---not actually MAKE the food.
Red is totally your color! What a sweetie Cherie is sending you a car and all...Lucky! ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun you are taking those classes...I'd love to do that someday! ;)
Way to go you for doing so many new things!!!!! If it were me, I'd spend my days in my pajamas!
ReplyDeleteThe Pioneer Woman was here at the Mall of America and I had never heard of her before I read it on many LDS blogs.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't checked out her book, but maybe I will do that when I get a little more free time. January has been all volunteering, church calling stuff and exercising so far.
Congrats on the car = P
I gotta catch up on the rest of your blog now and see what's been going on.
May
I got the PW cookbook for my birthday this year. I love PW.
