For over 2 1/2 years they lived with us.
Our house was crazy chaos.
And I loved it.
Lynsey became more like a best friend.
And I loved it.
Denver is far.
And I don't love it.
But they are happy and doing well.
In the meantime I'm trying to figure out my new normal.
I have been busy.
I love canning.
I love fresh garden food.
(Ignore the emesis basin...it is unused)
And I love getting pictures from the family.
Technology.... I love it.
And then there is this little girl!
She is just a smiling angel.
Her big brothers going off to school.
Then there is this little guy.
Those cheeks!!!!
They need some smooches.
Then there are these kids!
Stop!!!
Josh, Jessica, Justin and Jaren.
They went down the Alpine slide in Park City over the weekend.
We did that once as newly weds.
I'm not sure I want to be older.
Is that my new normal?
And this picture....
My sister is moving from Utah to Eastern Wyoming in a couple of weeks and that makes me sad. I can imagine that having your child and grandchildren move away is even harder than that. I hope you get to visit soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, it is so hard to adjust. Sending you ((Hugs)).....
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are perfect. Your family is so beautiful, you are so blessed.
Your veggies look great and I know your so good at canning!
Did you take that picture of the temple? It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteNo jen I didn't take this. I swiped it off Facebook. It is such a stunning picture I wanted it on the blog for when I print my blogbook.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh . . . I'm so sorry, I know how hard it is . . . hugs! Love all your pictures, aren't grands the best?! I have to agree with you, those cheeks just need lots of kisses!! I really love the Rexburg temple - such a beautiful way to end your sweet post!
ReplyDeleteEvery change brings a new normal but soon that new normal becomes the old normal and another new normal comes along. :) Thank God for family though, and even with the changes they fill up our hearts so that new normals become bearable. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteOh you are one blessed Grandma!! I can't even imagine saying goodbye after 2 1/2 years - I bawled after 8 months when my son's family left - it's never easy, we just love our grandkids way too much!! You sure have a good looking bunch, what would we do without FaceTime and digital photos - Im just saying it's a good thing technology got better just in time for us to be grandparents.
ReplyDeleteMan what an amazing picture of the temple, holy smokes!
Yes, it is sure hard to have grand kids move far away! I love the temple too -and I love having the time to go there more now that my little ones have grown up. There is good to each season of life. Looks like you are finding it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteNext time you come to Colorado, you have to let me know! And I agree, having kids so spread out is hard!
ReplyDeleteDoggone it! Why do grandkids need to move away? I love FaceTime! Even though the grands get older, we stay the same! Right? Beautiful bottles of peaches!
ReplyDeleteOh how I have missed you! I have also missed so much since my last visit. I just was catching up and leaving you other comments. Congratulations on your newest adorable Grandson. He is just so precious and I love his name too.
ReplyDeleteI hate you have a new normal to adjust too. This one is a big adjustment and one I know will be hard to do. Yes thank goodness for all the technology that is at our disposal but as a grandma I know it is not enough. I hope you get to visit them often.
Love your vegetable gardens. I can't believe how many veggies you have coming from them. You are so good at canning that I know you will enjoy many delicious meals in the long winter.
Thanks honey for always checking on me. We have been friends a long time out here in this world of blogging and I have missed you.
You keep in touch and I have no doubt as strong as you are that you will make the new normal work in the long run.
Love ya
Maggie
PS

Things should never change! They should always stay the same! However, that's not good. Growth comes with change. Or so they say.
ReplyDeleteCasper is on the way to Denver. If you need a place to lay your head on a trip to or from, please consider staying with us. We might actually move there one day!
