Crawling under barbed wire, slogging through mud, climbing mountains and ropes.
He loved it.
He told me he didn't want to be obsessed about it but would like to do a few more.
If he completes three this summer he will get the TRIFECTA, apparently a really cool medal.
I told him to go for it.
What a great way to celebrate turning 60.
Last Saturday was spent in Boise at the race there.
Candice decided she wanted to give it a try.
Crawling in the mud under the barbed wire seems to appeal to her.
They had a blast and completed it and didn't do too bad at it either.
She will be joining Howie in Park City, Utah in two weeks to do it again.
Howie's favorite saying....
"I may have to grow old, but I don't have to grow up."
Way to go old man!!!
Good for him, that shows grit and determination. My hubby will be 61 in September and still rides dirt bikes. That kind of stuff keeps guys young.
ReplyDeleteGood for Howie. I like his quote. He still looks young for and older man, hehe.
ReplyDeleteKeeping in shape is a great idea.
Hugs,
JB
I don't see how people call that fun or celebrating :) But it's awesome that he does and that he works so hard. What an accomplishment! Happy birthday to him.
