Love the warmth.
Love the growing things.
"Hello green pepper. Glad to have ya!"
"Hiya Cabbage!"
Way to be cuciferous!
"Hello corn.
We love you most of all."
"Hi Zucchini.
I don't love you that much.
But you are so prolific you make me feel good about myself."
"Uh, green beans. Hello??? Is anyone in there?
Everyone else has shown up to the party."
"Well, hello gorgeous!"
"Ahhh, flowers thank you for flowering and being all flowery and stuff."
Pots waiting to grow up and be table decorations in 4 more days!
We enjoyed the 4th.
Kids came.
Enjoyed the parade.
Crashed a BBQ
Lit fireworks......with a blowtorch. (For reals!)
It was awesome!
so funny about the zucchini!
ReplyDeleteYou're adorable. My husband lights everything with a propane torch. Such finesse. Aaahhh! Look at those green, growing plants. I've forgotten what living vegetation looks like. Idaho is so wonderful. Be thankful for the fertile earth and mild temps. Aaaahhh! I might have to move home someday where I can really grow something. I'm like you--zucchini make me feel so productive. (Here in hell, I am unable to grow even the prolific zucchini.)
ReplyDeleteTauna - You should have posted a picture of your green thumbs! Everything is growing so beautifully (well except those darn beans - they must have lost their invitation!).
ReplyDeleteThe flowers all look so beautiful!
I LOVE the stacked pots of flowers..cutest thing ever! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I am doing all I can do to keep my potted flowers from frying in the sun.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you planted the bean seeds upside down?
It looks like the plants are just as happy as you are to finally have some warm weather. The staggered clay pots are adorable and everything looks like they are so healthy...well except for the green beans.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think you could grow anything in that cold region! You already have peppers!
ReplyDeleteKeeping my fingers crossed that the weather and the flowers will cooperate for your wedding. I'm thinking the beans are not going to show up.
You're so good! Everything looks so healthy and happy..well maybe not the beans..but everything else does!!
ReplyDeleteMy garden gets a big fat ZERO! OK I get the zero, it's July and I never even planted my garden..shame, shame on me!
Call me a park ranger...everything wild grows all over my property ;)
ReplyDeleteI was gone for a week, and not surprisingly, all my plants in my flower boxes shriveled up and died. It was bound to happen anyway.
ReplyDeleteWish I'd been there for the blowtorch! And I love zukes, too. I can kill everything but them~they must love me unconditionally. Lovely garden! I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteTauna, How the heck did I get so far behind in your blog.
ReplyDeleteYOU are one of my BESTIES....and I am distraught that this happened.
I am a little worried that you are having these conversations with your plants. Maybe the beans aren't up yet as they are a little worried about you.
BUT...then aggain, they say conversation and music helps plants grow. Go figure.
I've been playing Il Divo to mine, and Taylor Swift. (I want them to be well rounded)
I love the colored pots.
How did you get those ones to be all tipsy like that (or is it ME that is tipsy?)
Everythng is looking great.
The shower looked like it was a great BEACH blast.
you started your fireworks with a BLOW TORCH...and you work in the ER.
Good thing you got medical experience my friend.
I'm coming to your house next 4th.
I can't wait to hear all about the wedding, pictures and all that.
I LOVE YOU. I am a good friend, I promise.
Look at all of that beauty you have created! Terrific!
ReplyDeleteSo lush and gorgeous! Are you serious about the blowtorch? LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's about time the weather cooperated!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your festivities, I'll be thinking about you :)
Everything about the burg is so high drama. Snow, ice, freezing vs. hot, sunny, growing zucchini best of all! Your flowers looks so amazing...those cute Alice In Wonderland flower pots are just Disney good. I'm so hopeful that you will have the best of everything; I know you have lots of family and friends, the perfect bride and groom, and will pray for warmth, sunshine and no wind! ;D
ReplyDeleteYeah! Veggies and flowers growing! The wedding flower decorations are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHello woman with the green thumb
ReplyDeleteSigned
The woman with nothing but brown ones ; )
I laughed about the zucchini--I even considered growing it because I figured even I could grow zucchini ; )
Everything looks GREAT.
I am very impressed with all your garden GREEN! It is as green as your snow pictures are WHITE! I am just so happy to see it finally has come to your neck of the woods! I've never grown corn or beans. Maybe one day I will be brave enough to give them a try!
ReplyDeleteYour flower pots are gorgeous!! They will make it to the wedding and so will you!
I think you should wear a shoulder CAM so that we can all see all the wonderful events of the wedding day as you rush around. You do have a new pair of roller skates right? Do they match your dress? BTW, what color is your dress?
I can not wait to see all the lovely pictures you will take. Good luck and take deep breaths and remember, "this to shall pass"!!!
Summer did come!! Good luck this week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post! Let us know when the green beans show up to the party.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was a gardener... we planted grass in our garden area instead. It grew better than our veggies... :(
ReplyDeleteI walked in that parade (with our Play) and I'm pretty sure we walked behind those horses. It was a blast dodging what they left behind.... NOT!!
Oh, my! What beautiful plants. I love zucchini so pass it on this way. lol You are a REAL gardener! Hugs
ReplyDeleteohhhh i love me some corn!
