HERE COMES THE BRIDE!

Last minute preparations kept us busy busy busy!
The morning was gray and blustery.
BUT by the time the couple came out of the Rexburg Temple...

...it was bright and sunshiney!
Perfect day!

The ceremony wasn't until 2:00 in the afternoon, so there was very little time for a ton of pictures before the reception started at 6:30.

We did have fun with some outside photos.

As soon as we arrived home we were then busy setting up tables and chairs in the backyard, setting pots on them, last minute preparations for the food and then getting dressed.

We had a photobooth wall that everyone had to walk past and get a picture taken on their way to the guest book.

On the wall were old frames with wedding pictures of her parents and siblings that were married and us and our married children.
The big picture frames were empty of course, to be filled with candid and random shots.

Her parents...

My lover and best friend.

My 5 children NOT being normal.

The day began with Guen's feet looking like this:

And ENDED in pink fuzzy slippers.

The NEWLYWEDS!

She made tissue paper flowers for her bouquet.
They were so soft and airy looking.
Couldn't imagine it when she was describing it, but it turned out so pretty.

Of course, no day is complete without a few candids...
...like Lexie getting into makeup.
"SMARKLEY!"(translated SPARKLY)

"Matt, I've seen that face....and it's up to NO GOOD!"

Bridesmaids!

Not sure what Sara was doing when this was photo was snapped, but I'm sure it was innocent.
Or not.

"Nice touch Cam. Is that a new addition to the the uniform?"

Krew running 90 MPH!
He seems to be saying "MORE PICTURES TO COME!"

(I print my blog into a book each July so it's going to be picture heavy.
More photos to come after more edits.)

  1. Love that he wore his uniform! I think that's the best. Looks like a fun time. The picture idea is great---I just think that maybe the bride should have tried to be as "smarkly" as the cute little girl:)

  25. The wall ROCKS!!! That is the coolest idea I have seen in a long time. It speaks to me. LOVE!

I am so happy for all of you and the newlyweds - it looked like a "picture perfect" day. The newlyweds look happy and beautiful/handsome. Her shoes are perfect and the bouquet is a really neat idea. Your son in uniform is so regal.

Weddings are joyous! Congrats - Now you can totally relax!

  26. Such a sweet photo of your family in front of the Temple.

I'm SO glad I could come and see things in real life. LOVED her bouquet...so pretty.

Your son looked so GREAT in his uniform.

Love your daughter-in-laws cute, short, spunky hair! (makes me want to cut mine short like that).

KRUE was adorable watching him run all around (although, I think Howard was a little stressed at times as they ran up and down the rock wall, behind trees, etc..)

THE PHOTO BOOTH WAS AWESOME and such a great thing to have a photo of everyone that came. I LOVE that Idea. I wished they would have had something like that when I got married to "freeze" people in time to reflect back and see people when you look back in future years to your wedding day.

OH and you are truly AMAZING that you made your skirt the night before...you INSPIRE me more than you'll ever know!

Hope you're feeling more relaxed after your hectic weekend and I am SO EXCITED for Howard to be back home in your arms...LOVE all of the photos of you and Howard that you posted...You are truly a handsome couple and are perfect for each other!!

    Enjoy the sunshine!!

Just need to know one thing. How was the wedding cake?? Was it just delicious?? Did it melt in your mouth? You know how I love cake. That is usually the real reason I go to wedding receptions, for the cake :))

From the first picture until the last, I have loved them all! Beautiful bride! Handsome Military Groom! Awesome family Temple front photo! Creative Temple and couple in the frame shot! The tissue paper bouquet, so Martha Stewart crafty! Sara's cute hair! Smarkley, Lexie Cutie Patootie! Purple heels just rock! Matt's cute face! Krew's run by shot! Your kids true personalities shining thru! You and your precious Howard, priceless! And Howie's Photo wall is just the most perfect thing ever! He really out did himself, with your help I'm sure :) Just an awesome reception! Again, I just hate that I missed actually being there.
