Barefoot season MIGHT be over...

or NOT!

It really is beautiful.
I love the sights of new fallenfalling snow.

(My backyard tonight.)

I love that Howie cleans off my sidewalks and driveway.
I haven't learned how to use a snowblower or else I might help him...

or NOT!

I'm glad to be home snuggled in front of the fireplace and
NOT driving home from Matt's house as I was yesterday.
45 MPH on the interstate.

With little Miss Lexi in the backseat.
Singing the same song for 4 hours! For reals! It was awesome...

or not.

My white knuckles on the steering wheel.

jerk

(Am I bad for getting all warm and fuzzy inside when I see a big 4 wheel drive truck off the road cuz he was driving like an idiot?)

I got to meet Wendy on Thursday night and give her a hug
and tell her I loved her.
She is such a beautiful woman!
I also got to see Ann. She is a doll.

Well, one consolation with all this snow...
only 8 more months till it's gone.
or not!

  1. I've never been to Idaho in the Winter. This looks intense, yet beautiful in the warmth of home.

  3. You are about the third blogger that has snow today. Georgia's high temp today was 70*!!!
As cold natured as I am, I would freeze to death. I'm glad you are inside and cozy.

  4. that first shot of snow on the branch made me think "oh, snow IS beautiful"... and then the rest reminded me what it's really like.

It rained here... that was plenty cold and miserable for my wimpy self. we even broke down and turned on the heater!

  5. I love your precious singing cargo in the back seat!! Looks as if your are gonna have a fun week with Miss Lexi in the house and it too cold and snowy to play out side. Hope you have tons of coloring books and arts and crap! Fun good times.

Glad you are home safe and that you got to go and hug our Wendy girl.
    Hugs to you too.

  8. Does Howie hire out??? I live with all boys and for some odd reason... lets just say its a good thing I luv 4-wheelin in and out of the driveway. Hmmmmm could that be why in the spring all the rocks are dug up??? One shall never tell. ;0

  10. Oh my! I knew you guys had gotten snow but I didn't realize it was already that much.
Brit is driving tomorrow - I just want the snow to go away for a few days - at least on the roads!
We got our first snow yesterday but it melted fast.
Glad you got to see Wendy and Ann and so glad you made it home safely.

  12. If only it could be the pretty part and NOT make the roads icy!! *sigh* I was just telling hubby that I love to LOOK at it through the window sitting by the fire sipping hot chocolate... LOL!! If only it didn't need to be shoveled... and you didn't have to drive the icy roads to get to the places you need to go... Nice PICS!!

Thanks for coming by, too!! You're AWESOME!! ;D

  20. I can't believe you had the guts to take your hand off the steering wheel to snap a picture of the 18 wheeler that passed! Did he really go off the road?
Beautiful pictures of the snow from out your back door.

  21. I have seen you comment on Yvonne's blog, so I thought I'd drop by. I think we must be neighbors...or something like that. I enjoyed reading your blog. I especially enjoyed looking at your pictures. (I know a couple of the fire fighters from your 9/11 post!)

  24. Look at all that snow you got! :) We're supposed to get one of the worst winters this year, and I am looking forward to it! I know that sounds weird. I don't like driving in the ice and snow, but I cannot help and love how it looks. It makes everything look fresh and clean... until someone drives by.

  25. Rotten lousy crappy weather. I was certainly worried for all those people who drove up here for my son's funeral. YOU--and my brother and wife and an aunt and cousins from Alberta. They had horrendous trips home. A prayer of thanks certainly goes out for safe returns.

I LOVED SEEING YOU and your handsome husband at the viewing. I was soooo very surprised. You have no idea how much that meant to me...seriously, there are not the right words to express how much I loved seeing you. It felt good to hug you and smile with you....amongst all those tears.

The funeral was beautiful, and now all the formalities are over, we will just try and heal.

I hope to get back to posting soon, I go home Dec 2nd. Mr. Gorgeous misses me.

your snow photos were pretty...even though it is crappy, rotten, miserable snow. Utah got dumped on too.

  26. Brrrr!! Beautiful! Looks verrrrrry cold thought. You have like what two weeks of summer up there?

Ok, just so you know-here's how easy it is to get sidetracked on the internet. I clicked on the link for your friend Ann, she's got thsi long old rave about the Brandon Flowers concert she went to, so since I don't really know who he is, I had to go check him out on Youtube and then do a quick search of Brandon Flowers on the internet. TWENTY minutes later, I'm back to comment on your post. CRAZY!!!

  29. Snow should only fall once a year - on Christmas day! I hate it with a passion - especially driving in it. I don't think I would have had the courage to snap a photo while driving (although I would have found the same pleasure in seeing the truck off the road) :) Stay warm!!! (and safe)

  39. Tauna, I can't tell you enough how much I have missed you! Everyday I see your cute hubby walk into our office area, I keep thinking about you and feeling like I've been world's worst friend and wondering what you have been up to.

Things are winding down with the flooring...trying to put life back together, but at least we can walk on our floor and be in our house. Still lots to go, but at least I can feel like I have a life again.

You are quite the amazing photographer. Can't believe the gorgeous night photo you took of the snow falling against the black sky. BEAUTIFUL!! I have yet to be able to capture anything that spectacular!! Thanks for sharing such beauty.

I can't believe this weather...they said last night we haven't had weather like this around Thanksgiving time since the early 1990's.

Are you staying around for Thanksgiving? Are your kids coming to your house, or are you going away?

Well, hoping to get back my "social blogging life" in the next week. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend...your friendship is such a treasure to me!! Stay warm by your nice cozy fire! Wish I could wiggle my nose like Samantha on Bewitched and come and sit by your fire and talk and catch up on life. :-)
