I sure wish you would have hung around a little bit this season.
You disappeared in June when it snowed.
You sorta went on vacation in July.
You might have been a bit more visible in August.
I loved those two days of 92 degrees.
Thank you very much.
Oh, and about September, your performance has been dismal.
So, next year, would you please decide to stay?
I'll gladly do whatever it takes.
Throw salt over my left shoulder.
Light firecrackers on New Years Day.
Run nekked through the forest...or not.
Just let me know what it takes to make you feel welcome next year. What's your summer mojo?
I'll do it.
Right now, it's still summer.
42 degrees just isn't cuttin' it.
Sincerely,
Summerless in Iceburg
You did a swell job writing about your summer. I am sorry you did not have much in the way of warm weather. If we could have put your summer and my summer in a barrel, shook it up real good and scattered around both our areas we would have had a perfect summer for you see, mine was much too hot and too long. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWHAT?
ReplyDelete42 degrees?
Ai-yi yi!
No way...It is WAY too frigid in your fall...
hmm...I'm sorry.
I don't wish summer stayed longer. Cause then I'd still have the kids ALL day....*sigh*
I still love ya though!
Yeah, I was telling my coworkers how the temperature is fall, but none of the leaves have started turning yet, so it's a weird thing to try to figure out.
ReplyDeleteperhaps summer was jealous due to your trip to st. george earlier this year. ;)
ReplyDeletep.s. i hadn't noticed your moss quote at the bottom of your blog until now. i love it! so appropriate. =)
DOn't play hate... but I am at a cool 80 something degrees right now... and I'm soaking it in.
ReplyDeleteI will give T and April your love as we sit out in the sun with our long sleeve jackets on! :) teehee!
Love ya!
Oh, ain't it the truth! I mean, yes, I do love me some Autumn time, but really, can we even CALL this a Summer? I think not~especially on account of snow in June. I am fighting between embracing the harvest decor and enjoying the journey, or bewitching and moaning loudly about how UNFAIR LIFE IS. Either way, I don't think the heavens will take my advice. Jerks.
ReplyDeleteWhat, you had snow in June? That's so wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think it's time to come visit warmer weather. Not by much, but the sun is shinning and the temp is in the balming 60's. You would like that. Just sayin'
ReplyDeleteSorry it's not the weather you hoped for, but just know my mountain range has a smigin' of snow on the peaks. wanna come play?
I would be willing to share some of our record highs of this summer with you. There should be a way to work this out!!! I'm very cold-natured - guess I'll take our heat! Hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDelete94* heat index 102* I'll trade!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!!!
ReplyDeleteI love fall...but really??? You call that a summer? I've even been missing AZ a little!!!
I'm cold thinking about it! you need to break out your sundresses and come down South for a spell - it's just about perfect here (anything too much lower and I'm going to have to break out the hoodies)
ReplyDeleteReally -- I think running nekked through the forest would solve all our problems. That and pray for global warming!!!
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY AGREE! So I want to come up and meet you like your other Blogger friend. You in?
ReplyDeleteYeah, unfortunately you live in a town that is a sister city to Antarctica. You guys have the craziest winters, seems this year it really robbed you of summer!
ReplyDeleteFeeling for you!
My little Elder is going to feel right at home ; )
ReplyDeleteHope your weather improves.
I have to admit I love the Fall.
It was a cool summer in California.
ReplyDeleteWe had only a handful of days with extreme heat. I enjoy summer but I do welcome Fall.
DITO DITO DITO
ReplyDeleteI think our summer was on a Thursday this year.
yup, that was it.
rainy, cool and depressing right now. The leaves are falling before my very eyes.
I am not ready for winter.
Let's run a petition of sorts and hand to mother nature so she know just how pissed off we are at her.
She could loose her job.
She ought to think of that...in this economy,
Brrrrrrrr...42! I am NOT looking forward to January...so depressing.
ReplyDeleteBabe you live in the wrong place if you want long summers. Come to the desert. You can have all the hot long summers you want!
ReplyDeleteShelle, that was just mean. hahahaha! I guess you'll just have to come and visit us again! =)
ReplyDeleteI sure agree and relate! We had snow over the weekend in Yellowstone! Yes... freakin snow!!! Our mountains around here are also capped with snow. Did we get a summer? Like you... maybe 2 days of it is all. Can we hope for an Indian summer? I want to!
ReplyDeleteIf you start a petition, I'll sign it.
