Did I really just say that?

It's also been a weird week.
I had to work three 12 hour days in a row.
That's hard.
I hate mornings....especially 0430.
I'm old.
I need my beautifyin' sleep. Didn't get it.

I said a few things this week that I didn't think I would ever say.
Such as:

"Can ya cure dumb?"

"You got that from where?"

"Just how many body piercings should one person have?"

"So are you telling me this is a potential homicide investigation?"

"Awww come on doc! I'd rather have a root canal with no lidocaine!"

Have you ever had a week like that?

  1. Wow! That is some long hours to work back to back. Were you able to walk after you got off work the 3ed day? Hope you are getting some rest now.

I have had a few weeks like you speak of from time to time...some of them not so long ago.

Hope next week will be a lot better week for you. Hugs

  3. I think you showed great restraint in only saying those things and not some others given how many hours you worked.

and here's lazy me about to DIE from a 8 mile hike... surprised that I'm not a PATIENT in the ER at this point... where I'm sure I'd be saying some choice things of my own :)

I like the "Can ya cure Dumb" the best. And by the way...can ya?

  8. I have lived with 3 brother's for lets just say a long time. I have seen them do things with various neighbourhood children (who shall remain nameless), and I have a feeling that their is no cure for dumb.
I do think that you have had a rough week and hope you have a peaceful and very quite and warm one ahead of you.

  16. My husband is always dying after more than 4 shifts in a row and his are only 10 hours. 12 hour might kill him.

I have to admit I have never come anywhere close to saying any of those things. I may have used the adapted, "Beauty fades, dumb is forever." Close enough?

  17. Tauna, you really crack me up!! I feel SO bad I haven't had time to check Blogs at all this week.

I have had my own fair share of moments with the wrong things slipping out. Just had one of those moments on Mother's Day where the wrong words slipped out. It's nice to know we are all human and all have our moments. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one that doesn't always have the right choice of words come out of my mouth.

You're such a sweetheart!! I'm SO happy you were able to enjoy the weekend spending time with Howard and spending time with your kids and grand-kids in Utah. SO sorry you have to have another lonely week as Howard heads out of town again.

Enjoy your week of yummy and fresh produce!!
