Great day for migraine sufferers!

I work at a hospital. I'm a drug pusher. I believe in drugs. Better living through chemistry....that's my motto!!! I also am a drug user...I know, shame on me.

Today I found out the MY drug, the drug that was invented for ME,the only drug I use, that keeps ME sane and helps ME function...Imitrex! It is now generic! Instead of paying $100.00 per month for 18 tablets (and that is with insurance!) I now will pay only $4.00 per month!!!! I am sooooo excited! This is huge! Now I don't have to feel guilty that I'm taking food out of my baby's mouth in order to have relief from a migraine! Wow, this is such good news!

  2. WOW -- how expensive is that. Maybe a lobotomy would get rid of migraines---just thinking out loud.

  8. I am right there with you tauna! The day I found out it was going generic I wanted to hug the drug rep. The down side, no more samples. But for $4 a month, I think I can survive!!

  9. Thanks for commenting on my humble blog!

So glad you are getting relief!
I used to get awful migraines about once a month. I tried a lot of things to get rid of them and the only thing that worked was food combining.

  11. Tauna- I've got a quick medical question for you- We're in Texas right now and my ankles and feet have gotten decently swollen- I know this is relatively normal, but are there any warning signs I should watch for in case it gets bad? Also, do you know any tricks for minimizing it? Thanks!! Hilary

You work at a hospital? God bless you for that. That's something that I could never do though I so greatly admire those brave souls like you who are there and ready when needed.
I used to have migraines (a lil thing called the hys-to-rectomy helped mine tremendously) and I remember when Imitrex was first bring used. It helped me a great deal.
Thanks for all of your info. I will definately be back. Have a great and happy Easter and......

    Steady On
